Note:November to early May: Ascent to Mt. Pilatus unescorted. Descend again by cable car instead of cogwheel train and public bus ride to Lucerne. Additional lunch on the first day is included.
We will depart from Zurich through beautiful countryside and along the Lake of the Four Cantons to Lucerne. On a short city tour, we will visit the Lion Monument and enjoy some time at leisure to explore the Old Town before continueing to Kriens. From there we will take the panoramic gondolas and the aerial cableway "Dragon Ride" to the summit of Mt. Pilatus. Next , check-in at the hotel and enjoy the afternoon at leisure. In the evening, savour your welcome drink and a 3-course seasonal dinner in one of the restaurants.

The Lion of Lucerne is an amazing sculpture carved directly into a cliffside in one of Switzerland's most gorgeous cities. It was done to commemorate the deaths of Swiss soldiers who were brutally massacred during the bloody French Revolution.
This mountain in Switzerland overlooks the city of Lucerne. It is comprised of several summits, the tallest of which is named Tomlishorn. A medieval legend states that a dragon with magical healing powers lives on the mountain.

Day 2 Mt. Pilatus - Lucern - Zurich
After enjoying the breakfast buffet, we will descend on the world's steepest cogwheel railway (48% gradient) to Alpnachstad where we will board the public train to Lucerne. Then we will have a guided excursion to Mt. Titlis. We will drive to Engelberg for the Titlis Xpress cable car with spectacular sights of glacier and ice boulders from the revolving cable car ROTAIR. At the top of Mt. Titlis, see the high alpine panorama and the magnificent views of the Alps. We will also visit the Glacier Cave, ride the Ice Flyer chairlift, enjoy snow activities at the Glacier Park and cross Europe's highest suspension bridge, the Cliff Walk. In the late afternoon, we will back via Lucerne to Zurich.

This mountain looms in the Swiss Alps, near the city of Lucerne. A popular activity is to take the cable car to the top of the mountain. It straddles the border between Obwalden and Berne.

Redemption
Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print and bring e-ticket(s) on your trip, as they serve as proof of purchase.

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
Cancellation penalties per person for 1-4 days tours
(Notification day and departure day are not counted)
15-30 days or more prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
7-14 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
4-6 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
Within 3 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 10% handling fee. NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers. We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
