This Walking Tour is the perfect way to complete your visit to the Saint Mark area! During this walk, your tour guide will share anecdotes and historical events from the life of the Venetians, from past to present. Discover some of the hidden pearls of Venice as you walk through the narrow streets on this route through so-called "Minor Venice".
We will take a visit to the exterior of the famous Teatro La Fenice, site of many legendary opera premieres. Since being named "La Fenice" (Italian for "Phoenix"), the opera house has burned down and rebuilt twice.
Your route will also include a look at the external spiral staircase ("Scala del Bovolo"), of the elegant Palazzo Contarini-del Bovolo. Your tour will end at the Grand Canal and Rialto, which you will see from a spectacular point of view.
