Day 1: Vancouver

Today, guests will arrive at the airport in Vancouver and transfer to the local hotel.

Day 2: Vancouver-Kelowna-Okanagan-Revelstoke (556 km)

In the morning, we will pass through the town of Merritt and head to visit the famous local "VQA" rare wine winery. Shortly after, we will head to Kelowna: the hometown of fruits in BC and take a visit to the Okanagan Lake. Finally, we will overnight at Revelstoke or Salmon Arm.

Day 3: Revelstoke/Golden - Clearwater - Banff (12273 km)

After breakfast, we will head to visit the famous Abraham Lake. We can also take a helicopter tour at own expense here and get a view of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Afterwards, we will continue to the Banff National Park and give a ticket of Banff Upper Hot Spring as a gift. Later on, we will go to Banff Town, the European style town of Rocky Mountain and also a commercial area within the National Park, where there are restaurants, hotels, shopping and entertainment.

Day 4: Banff - Yoho National Park - Lake Louise (45 km)

In the morning, we will drive along Kicking Horse River to visit Yoho National Park, where we will be able to see Emerald Lake. Later on, we will travel to Lake Louise to enjoy the well-known lake in the Rocky Mountain National Park. We may have a chance to see an ice sculpture exhibition in winter.

Day 5: Banff - Banff National Park - Calgary (209 km)

Today we will head to Johnston Canyon where we will try ice walk. When returning back, the guide will bring us a cup of warm hot chocolate. Then we will go to visit the Rundle Mountain, which is absolutely the top ten mountain in Banff National Park. The best place to see her is Vermillion Lake. Afterwards we will continue to visit the Surprise Corner and stop at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Then we will also visit Bow Falls. Finally, we will drive to Calgary.

Day 6: Calgary - Yellowknife (1268 km)

We will enjoy a free day iin Calgary or optional to take a 5 hours shopping tour in CrossIron Mill Outlets or Chinook Center. In the afternoon, we will be transferred to Calgary airport for flights to Yellowknife (air fare not included). Please see "Departure and Return Details" for info about what time your flight to Yellowknife should depart. After arrival in Yellowknife around 9:30pm we will start our first night Northern Light exploring.

Day 7: Yellowknife

During the day you will enjoy a leisurely day in Yellowknife, you can arrange your own activities or participate in local winter special projects at your own expense. When night falls, in order to avoid light pollution in the city, we will depart from the hotel at about 22:00 to the Tipi tent camp to hunt the aurora. There will be two experiences of camp and chasing light every night. The chasing light stops by the forests by the lakes. Guests who do not like chasing light can also choose to stay in the camp and wait for the aurora.

Day 8: Yellowknife

Free in the morning, optional activities are available to choose from sled dogs, Ice Fishing and snowmobiling in Winter season and Boat Fishing (Lunch Included), Walking Tour to Cameron Falls in Autumn season . In the afternoon, we will have a city tour of Yellowknife. Aurora Viewing tour will be arranged at night.

1. From August 11th to the end of October, it is unable to participate in activities for snow season, please understand.
2. From the end of October to the end of November, this period is the local snow season, so the weather condition is not stable. If you are unable to participate in the self-paied projects due to weather, we will refund your money for the activities in full.

    Polar dog sledding

    Under the control of professionals, you can experience the pleasure of Mercedes-Benz in the vast snowy sea. You can play snow yo-yos, roast marshmallows, and pose with snowshoes during dog sledding. 12-16 Alaskans/Huskies for 2-4 people on a 15-minute run by the forest lake.

    Unlike the motorcycles that we see on the road with wheels every day, the snowmobiles in Yellowknife, Canada do not have wheels, but use the rotation of the tracks to drive, which will be more stable when driving in the snow. In the Arctic, there is nothing more exciting than a snowcrawler and experience the feeling of conquering this snowy sea. Brand new snow track vehicle with heated helmet and escorted by a guide with many years of polar experience.

    Head out onto the frozen waters off the shore of Yellowknife to experience ice fishing, which doesn't even seem possible! Make sure to dress warmly.

In the morning, we'll pick you from the hotel and transfer to the airport.

Your tour escort will be holding a sign with your name. Domestic arrivals should meet at the number 3 luggage carousel, and international arrivals in the arrival lobby (Aboriginal sculpture).
  • Calgary TO Yellowknife : Please arrange your flight to depart from Calgary airport after 6:00pm (air fare not included)
  • Yellowknife Return Flight: In the last day morning, Free transfer to the Yellowknife airport .

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking.
  • Changes to Reservations: A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary will be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellation penalties per person
    (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    31 days or more prior to departure - CAD$25/person.
    15-30 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 14 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    All tours with "Buy 2 get 1 Free" or "Buy 2 get 2 Free" and special discount will charge the penalty fee for cancellation or no show of the free peple: Cancellation within 1-3 days prior to departure - $100/person; Day of departure or no show - $200/person.
    No cancel and No change is allowed for any tour involved in train or cruise, OR 100% of total purchase amount will be charged.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
