Day 1 Uluru
In the morning, guests will be picked up from the specified departure location in Yulara to begin this tour. We will begin by exploring the 36 domes of Kata Tjuta in the Valley of the Winds. We will fall in love with the desert sun as it sets over Uluru before we enjoy a delicious dinner underneath the starry sky. Tonight, we will have the choice of sleeping in a tent or curling up in a swag, a traditional Aussie bedroll, to enjoy a night under the stars.
Day 2 Uluru - Kings Canyon (54 km)
Early in the morning, we will see the magnificent sunrise over Uluru. While the morning is fresh, we will enjoy an unguided walk around the base of the rock. Then we will deepen our understandings of the land and the Mala people as we embark on a cultural interpretive walk with an Aboriginal guide and interpreter. This is a truly unique opportunity to share experiences, connect with, and learn about the oldest culture on Earth. Afterwards, we will have the opportunity to see more Aboriginal arts and crafts at the Cultural Center before we travel to our exclusive campsite within Watarrka National Park. (Camping in Watarrka National Park.)
Day 3 Kings Canyon - Alice Springs
We'll get on our hiking boots this morning as we head out to explore the impressive geological formations and towering rock faces of Watarrka National Park's Kings Canyon. We will appreciate the sheer size and beauty of the area as we trek through the Amphitheater, discover the Lost City, and see the lush Garden of Eden. We will enjoy lunch before making our way back to Alice Springs, where the tour will come to an end. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.
