Day 1 Mt. Rainier National park - Seattle(115 miles)

Today, we will spend our time in Mount Rainier National Park. Along the way, we will arrange parking for 1-2 attractions according to the actual situation: Christine Falls (via), Narada Falls, Paradise Visitor Center (including glacier overlooking, Martha Falls, Wildflower meadow at Paradise, etc. in case of bad winter weather, we will go to the Longmire instead). In the summer, we will lead you traverse the Volcano mountains. Afterwards, we will return to Seattle, where the tour will end. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

This city in the top-left corner of the United States is a major seaport as well as a cultural center. Whether you want to enjoy the scenery, grab some great coffee, or learn history, Seattle has something to offer.

Mount Rainier National Park is named for Mount Rainier itself, the tallest peak in the United States and an active volcano predicted to massively erupt sometime in the next decade. Still, more than a million people visit its slopes each year.

81 year old mother and I attended this tour on 17 Sep 2017. This tour took us to Natada Falls (40 min stay) and Paradise point (3 hr stay). I enjoyed hiking on both places. 30 min hiking hour to Narada Falls and 1 hr 30 min hiking hour to Glacier Vista Point from Paradise point. My mother cannot hike with me. However, she also enjoyed spectacular views.

I recommend this tour!

We attended this trip to Mount Rainier from Seattle in last week of April 2017. Mount Rainier was all covered with clouds and snow and 3+ hours that we spent on Paradise point turned out to be totally different experience, a memorable one. Got to do hiking with snow shoes and captured some wonderful pictures. Longwire Inn/Muesum, a waterfall and a another scenic point were 3 other stops we made. We didn't get to see Lake Cresent as it was snowing. I can only imagine how wonderful this tour might be during summer days. No regrets though, visiting Mount Rainier in Winter, while snow is falling, was an experience I will never forget. Our tour guide was Jake and he was quite friendly and helpful. Provided us enough time to enjoy all the points.
