Day 1: Sapporo

Upon arrival at Sapporo Chitose Airport, you will meet with tour guide and he/she will assist you to take airport limousine bus to hotel and check in. (After 15:00, please check in on own at hotel). Rest of the day will be at your own leisure to enjoy. Meal arrangement on own.

Day 2: Sapporo - Biei - Sounkyo (226 km)

After breakfast, we will visit Farm Tomita(* Jan - Apr/ Nov - Dec: it will be replaced by Ikeda Wine Castle). After lunch, we will visit Shikisai-no-Oka and take a stroll around the Blue pond (* Jan - Apr/ Nov - Dec: it will be replaced by Aeon). We will taste Hokkaido crab for dinner.
  • Furano, JAPAN

    Furano is a large expanse of rolling hills that lead up to Mt. Tokachi. Situated along the Sorachi River, Furano belongs to Furano-Ashibetsu Nature Park. Because of its position in the heart of Hokkaido , Furano is nicknamed the "navel town." There's even a festival to celebrate it. In winter, Furano is prime downhill and cross-country skiing territory with world-class slopes. Warmer weather is perfect for river rafting, trekking, cycling, golf and other pursuits.

    Farm Tomita

    Furano is famous for its numerous fields of lavender. Farm Tomita is one of the many farms in the area which create this reputation by planting giant fields of lavender and other colorful crops such as tulips.

Day 3: Sounkyo - Abashiri - Akankohan

We will go to Sounkyo valley, see Ginga Waterfall and Ryusei waterfall, also the valley of Oobako. Then we will continue to Abashiri and visit Okhotsk Ryuhyo Museum. Afterwards we will visit Lake Mashu.

    Okhost Ryuhyo Museum

    The museum provides a simulated drift ice experience in a room where the temperature is set at -15 degrees Celsius and get to know the small creature of "Sea Angel" which an only be found under the drift ice in Hollaido.

    A national park established December 4, 1934. Akan is an area of volcanic craters and forests, covering 90,481 hectares. The park is famous for its crystal clear lakes, its hot springs, and its large marimo.

    Lake Mashu

    A endorheic crater lake formed in the caldera of a potentially active volcano. It is located in Akan National Park on the island of Hokkaido, Japan. The lake has been called the clearest lake in the world.

Day 4: Akankohan - Tokachi-gawa

We will take a cruise on Lake Akan and enjoy the view (Jan - Apr/Nov - Dec: it will be replaced by fishing on the ice or view dance). Afterward, we will visit Kushiro Tancho Nature Park where you can find red-crowned crane. Afterwards we will proceed to Tokachi and check in at onsen hotel on arrival, Tonight, dinner features the Toyonishi Beef.

    Lake Akan

    Volcanic activity formed the lake some 6,000 years ago, when a dam was formed. It is located in Akan National Park and is a Ramsar Site.

Day 5: Tokachi-gawa -Toyako - Jozankei (341 km)

We will visit Hell Valley which offers hot steam vents, sulfurous stream and other volcanic activity. After lunch, we will visit the Bear Park. Take the Usuzan Gondola to see the beauty of Toyako Lake and get a close look of crater at Showa-shinzan Volcano. Next we will proceed to Jozankei.

    A town in Iburi Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. It was formed on March 23, 2006. The name of the town was derived from the nearby Lake Toya (Toya-ko).

    Lake Toya

    A volcanic caldera lake in Shikotsu-Toya National Park, Abuta District, Hokkaido, Japan. Lake Toya is said to be the northernmost lake in Japan that never ices (with competing claim by nearby Lake Shikotsu), and the second most transparent lake in Japan.

Day 6: Jozankei - Otaru - Sapporo - Osaka (1096 km)

After breakfast we will drive to Otaru Canal and visit Kitaichi Glass Pavilion. At around 11:30 am, we will arrive at the airport and take the flight to Osaka. After meeting tour guide, guests may take free shuttle bus to hotel. Check in hotel after 3:00pm.

    A city and port in Shiribeshi Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan, northwest of Sapporo. With its many historical buildings, Otaru is a popular tourist destination. Because it is a 25-minute drive from Sapporo, it has recently grown as a bedroom community.

    A canal adorned with Victorian-style street lamps runs through Otaru.

    Kitaichi Glass Pavilion

    Kitaichi Glass dates back to 1901. Here you will find several stores and art galleries. You can also visit the stores to experience the making of the Kitaichi Glass.

Day 7: Osaka - Kyoto (42 km)

In the morning, we will visit Osaka's iconic attraction Osaka Castle , then we will also visit the Osaka Fish Market Black Gate Market, and enjoy a wide variety of fishery products and sushi. After that, we will go to Nara to visit Deer Park and Todai-ji Temple. In the afternoon, we will head to Kyoto to visit the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, stroll Sakasaka. Tonight, we will return to the hotel within the time specified by the tour guide.

    An Buddhist temple in eastern Kyoto. The temple is part of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto (Kyoto, Uji and Otsu Cities) UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 8: Kyoto

After breakfast, we will drive to Arashiyama and view Togetsu-kyo, a 155-meter long bridge. We will continue to Kinkaku-ji and a winery to learn how to make saka. Then, we will head to Fushimi Inari Taisha. After that, guests may spend the rest of the day on their own. Spend the night in Kyoto.

    Kinkaku-ji

    The name of this Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto translates to the "Temple of the Golden Pavilion." It sits on a beautiful, tranquil lake. It was originally built in 1397 and rebuilt after a 1950 arson.

    Fushimi Inari Taisha

    Fushimi Inari Shrine is an important Shinto shrine in southern Kyoto. It is famous for its thousands of vermilions torii gates, which straddle a network of trails behind its main buildings. The trails lead into the wooded forest of the sacred Mount Inari, which stands at 233 meters and belongs to the shrine grounds. Fushimi Inari is the most important of several thousands of shrines dedicated to Inari, the Shinto god of rice. Foxes are thought the Inari's messengers, resulting in many fox statues across the shrine grounds.

Day 9: Kyoto - Hakone - Tokyo (455 km)

Today we will go to Hakone by Shinkansen in the morning. Once arrived at Hakone we will visit Oshino Hakkai, and take a cruise on the Lake Ashi. Next we will head to Kamakura and visit the Kamakura Buddha, a national treature to Japan. Afterwards, we will go to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu and Hasedera Temple. We will stay overnight in Tokyo.

Day 10: Tokyo

After breakfast, we will visit Nijubashi, the Japanese emperor's residence, located in the center of Tokyo Chiyoda area. Then we will visit the 634 meter Sky Tree, world's tallest self - propelled tower. We will have Japanese BBQ for lunch. Afterward, we will visit Sens O-ji, a temple dedicated to Goddess of Mercy. We will also continue to visit Meiji Jingu and Shibuya.

    Founded in approximately 628 AD, this Buddhist temple in Tokyo is the city's oldest as well as one of its most important. The street leading to the temple is called the Nakamise-dori and features many retail shops and kiosks.

  • Airport meet up: Tour guide will wait at the Sapporo New Chitose Airport and then transfer to hotel.
  • Return arrangement: Please take the Limousine Bus to airport on your own expenses.
  • Airport Transfer: Day 6 Sapporo to Osaka, Tour guide will pick you up at the Osaka Kansai International airport and then transfer to hotel. Or you could take the airport free shuttle to hotel on your own.
