NEW Monterey/Carmel Overnight Tours starting May 24, 2013 and will depart on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for 2 day/1 night adventures. Overnight guests will stay at Abrego Hotel in Downtown Monterey just minutes from Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row. The tour allows for free time to explore Cannery Row and Downtown and Old Monterey on your own. You can add admission to the world-famous Monterey Bay Aquarium as part of your tour. This tour also includes stops in Downtown Carmel, 17-Mile Drive, and the Pebble Beach Golf Course.

Monterey was the capital of Alta California under both Spain and Mexico. It was the only port of entry for taxable goods in California. In 1846 the U.S. flag was raised over the Customs House, and California became part of the United States after the ensuing Mexican-American War.
