Day 1 San Francisco-Sausalito-Napa Valley(78 miles)

Passengers will be picked up at Bay Area hotels in the early morning. Today we will first head to Muir Woods National Monument. This unique park is significant for being an old-growth coastal redwood forest, one of the few left in the area. After taking in this natural wonder, we will begin our wine tour.

We will make four tasting stops: two wineries in Sonoma County, one at the historic Sonoma Plaza or Healdsburg Plaza, and one more in Napa County, spending 45 minutes to one hour at each location. All of the wine tastings at the wineries are complimentary and guests will have a chance to try a variety of delicious wines. The Vine Alley at Sonoma Plaza stop is a bit longer, so we will have a chance to grab a bite to eat and visit additional tasting rooms (fees may apply) located around the plaza or browse the boutique shops.

At the end of the day, we will return to the departure points for dropoff. See "Depature and Return Details" for more information.

San Francisco, the heart of central California's Bay Area, is famous for its iconic Golden Gate Bridge, its unique culture, and its position at the forefront of technological innovation. Beautiful weather and waterfront views await visitors as well!

  • Starting May 15, 2018. Muir Woods National Monument is launching a new system to limit the number of commercial vehicles allowed at Muir Woods parking lot and tour operators need to make reservations in advance. We can no longer guarantee a visit to Muir Woods starting May 15, 2018. On days where we do not have a parking spot, we will have alternate tour routes to Redwood trees in place to continue to offer customers unforgettable outdoor experiences. Guests will still get to see Sequoia Redwood trees on the tour!
Muir Woods National Monument, across the bay from San Francisco, is a sanctuary for coastal redwoods. Visitors will be awed by these trees that extend themselves high above. This makes an excellent spot for camping and hiking.

Tour was well planned on itinerary and executed very well Driver on time for pick ups and friendly. Gave us adequate time to see things but kept us rounded up as a group to maintain a schedule. Cline Winery was exceptional. Others ok. Lunch was great. Driver accommodating at drop offs. I was saddened that we saw a few on our tour not tip the driver! I don't get people! He surly made our 10 person your to wine country an exceptional tour!!!!!

I recommend this tour!

Had a fantastic day with Ben as our driver and tour guide. Great selection of wineries. Pre-ordered lunch was good, but with all the great choices at the market square we would opt against it if we were to do it again.

I recommend this tour!

Muir woods was great. Our tour guide was great. Was actually a little disappointed in the wine itself.
