Day 1

Today we will take half the day along the coast and half the day in the countryside and the mountains, including Mission Bay Park, Pacific Beach, La Jolla Cove, Torrey Pines Gliderport, Ramona, Point Loma (pass by), Ocean Beach (pass by), Wynola Road and Julian. We will experience the hip coastal areas in the morning and the rural farming and mountainsides in the afternoon. California has such great diversity packed into a small area.

San Diego, CA

One of the largest cities in the country is San Diego, California. This beautiful city sits on the Pacific Ocean in southern California, not far from the Mexican border.

Mission Bay

Mission Bay is a human-made saltwater bay located south of the Pacific Beach community of San Diego, California created from approximately 2,000 acres of historical wetland, marsh, and saltwater bay habitat. The bay is part of the recreational Mission Bay Park.

Duration: Approx. 10 Minutes

Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach is a neighborhood in San Diego, bounded by La Jolla to the north, Mission Beach and Mission Bay to the south, Interstate 5 to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west.

Duration: Approx. 30 Minutes

La Jolla Cove

La Jolla Cove is a small, picturesque cove and beach that is surrounded by cliffs in La Jolla, San Diego, California. The Cove is protected as part of a marine reserve; underwater it is very rich in marine life, and is popular with snorkelers, swimmers and scuba divers.

Duration: Approx. 30 Minutes

Torrey Pines Gliderport

The Torrey Pines Gliderport is a city-owned private-use glider airport located in the La Jolla neighborhood of San Diego, California, 11 nautical miles (20 km) northwest of the city's central business district.

Duration: Approx. 20 Minutes

Ocean Beach (Passing By)

Ocean Beach lies on the Pacific Ocean at the estuary of the San Diego River, at the western terminus of Interstate 8. Located about 7 miles (11 km) northwest of Downtown San Diego, it sits south of Mission Bay and Mission Beach and directly north of Point Loma.

Departure & Return

Pick up at 9:00am and drop off at 5:00pm.
Pickup at any hotel in downtown san diego within a 5 mile radius.
