Day 1 San Carlos de Bariloche

Guests will be picked up from the specified departure locations in San Carlos de Bariloche. We will begin the day by taking a brief scenic tour of the city to bask in the magnificent scenery. After that, we will be able to explore some of our favorite places more in-depth. Then, we will drive through the countryside, stopping at a few lookout points along the way, including Lopez Bay and Punto Panoramico. At Cerro Campanario, a mountain rising from above the surrounding landscape, we will take a chairlift that provides unbelievable views. On the shores of Puerto Panuelo, we will see the luxurious Llao Llao Hotel and the rustic San Eduardo Chapel. We also shouldn?t miss stopping by the Circuito Chico, where we can find regional craft products such as knit garments, woodwork, candles, pottery, cosmetics, and more. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

Built in the mid-20th century in the midst of the foothills of the Andes (a great skiing destination), lies this quaint, simple little chapel. The architecture is surprisingly Anglican for a Latin American country, a reflection of the influence Britain held over South America at the time. Stone walls, larch sides and a cypress front, the true magnificence of the chapel is in its simplicity. From here, you can embark on the trail that circuits through Nahuel Huapi National Park.
