Day 1 Reykjavik-Thingvellir National Park-Golden Circle-Hveragerdi-Reykjavik(265 km)

This popular excursion allows guests to see some of the best-known natural phenomena in Iceland. Beginning in Reykjavik, we will drive to the Nesjavellir Power Plant, a high-temperature geothermal area situated among the picturesque landscape of Lake Thingvallavatn. Please note that due to weather conditions, we will not be able to visit Nesjavellir in the winter. Then, we w's first national parliament. Continuing on our way, we will reach beautiful Gullfoss Waterfall and explore the geothermal area around the incredible spouting hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur.We will also make stops at the scenic Faxi Waterfall and the historical site of Skalholt Church where we can access the underground vault and archeological exhibition beneath the new memorial church, built on the site of the old cathedral. Later we will travel through the fertile agricultural areas on the way to Hveragerdi. Afterwards, we will return to Reykjavik, where the tour will come to an end.

Thingvellir National Park is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most popular tourist destination in Iceland. Thingvellir has unusual tectonic and volcanic geological features and visitors can enjoy a wide array of activities including camping, hiking, and scuba diving.
