Day 1 Reykjavik-Landmannalaugar(182 km)

In the morning, guests will be picked up in Reykjavik to begin this tour. We will begin our journey in the geothermal area of Landmannalaugar, where we will see Hjalparfoss waterfall. While in this area, we will be able to enjoy a relaxing bath in the naturally warm pool created by the mixture of many hot and cold springs (Please Note: use of soap is forbidden in the pool). After this, we will continue west towards Hekla, the country's most infamous active volcano. Afterwards, we will return to Reykjavik via the Hellisheidi Mountain Heath. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

Reykjavik is the capital of Iceland and was founded in 1786. Its important function as a seaport has led to its continual development over the past two-plus centuries. It has been called "the nightlife capital of the north."

Located in the southern region of Iceland, Landmannalaugar is a lava field popular for its hiking trails. Visitors can relax in the natural hot and cold springs, fish for arctic char, horse back ride and more.
