Day 1 Reykjavik-Langjökull Glacier-Reykjavik(205 km)

After guests have been picked up in Reykjavik, we will make our way to the Langjokull glacier for a once in a lifetime adventure deep inside the ice caverns of this glacier. The caverns are composed of an extensive system of tunnels and chambers that stretch close to 300 meters into the solid ice cap towards a breathtaking natural ice cave at the heart of the glacier. Making our way inside the glacier, we'll be able to explore various nooks and chambers and get to walk on a specially-constructed bridge that crosses a huge ice crevasse. As we walk further along the tunnels, we will notice that the ice gets older and its color changes from white to deep blue. In every chamber we will be able to learn interesting information about the glacier on display. For those who would like to get married in the ice cave, there's even a small ice chapel! Afterwards, we will return to Reykjavik, where the tour will come to an end. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

Langjokull is Iceland's second largest glacier located in the West-Land region. Visitors enjoy snow mobile rides, guided jeep tours, glacier hiking, and can even walk through a man-made ice tunnel for an unforgettable adventure in this unique natural environment.
