Day 1 Reykjavik

These self-driving tours begin either in Reykjavik or the Keflavik International Airport. After guests arrive at the airport, they will pick up their car and drive to the hotel. Then, they will have the rest of the day free at their own leisure to explore Reykjavik. Those who arrive early can pay a visit to the world-famous Blue Lagoon.

Day 2 Reykjavik - Golden Circle - Hvolsvollur(372 km)

Today, we will travel along the Golden Circle, beginning with Thingvellir National Park, where we can see the Almannagja gorge and go snorkeling in the Silfra fissure. Next, we will see the spouting Geysir and Strokkur. After that, we will reach Gullfoss waterfall and go snowmobiling on the Langjokull glacier. We will also be able to stop at the Kerith crater before heading to the quiet town of Hvolsvollur for the evening.

Iceland's Golden Circle is the country's most popular tourist route, featuring several of the top geological formations in the country, such as the geysers of Strokkur and Geysir, as well as the Gullfoss waterfall.

Day 3 Hvolsvollur - Selfoss - Vik - KirkjubŠjarklaustur(219 km)

As we continue our journey today, we will drive towards Eyjafjallajokull volcano before visiting the waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss. After that, we will stop by the Skogar Folk Museum. We will continue driving towards the Solheimajokull glacier before taking a detour to see the black sands of Reynisfjara beach. Then, we will stop briefly in the village of Vik before continuing to Kirkjubaejarklaustur, where we will spend the night.

Day 4 Kirkjubaejarklaustur - Vatnajokull National Park - Jokulsarlon - Kirkjubaejarklaustur(192 km)

Today, we will pass Foss a SÝ­u, a picturesque waterfall, as well as the Dverghamrar basalt columns. Then, we will drive over the vast glacial sands of Skei­arßrsandur. Further along, we will explore the Skaftafell Nature Reserve. We will be able to take a short hike to Svartifoss or go on a guided glacier hike. About 40 minutes east, we will reach the Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon and Diamond Beach. We will also be able to explore an ice cave in this area. We will spend the night in KirkjubŠjarklaustur, keeping an eye out for the Northern Lights in the evening.

Day 5 Kirkjubaejarklaustur - Ring Road - Reykjavik(255 km)

Setting out in the morning, we will drive along the Ring Road, an incredible scenic route that will bring us back to Reykjavik. When we are back in the capital, we will be able to visit local museums, galleries and cultural sites. This is also a good time to visit the Reykjanes peninsula and see its sights.

The Ring Road or Route 1 is a national road in Iceland that runs around the island and connects most of the inhabited parts of the country. The total length of the road is 1,332 kilometres. Popular tourist attractions such as the Seljalandsfoss and Skˇgafoss waterfalls, Dyrhˇlaey and the J÷kulsßrlˇn glacier lagoon are by the Ring Road.

Day 6 Reykjavik

Today, guests will drive to the airport to drop their cars off and board their departure flights. If their flight is in the late afternoon or evening, they can exploer for a little while before heading to the airport. They can see Hallskrimskirkja, Ellidarardalur Park, Grotta Lighthouse, the Blue Lagoon and more.
