Day 1 Reykjavik

As guests arrive to the airport in Reykjavik, they will transfer to the hotel via the FlyBus shuttle. Guests will receive a FlyBus voucher in advance to take the shuttle that is located outside the arrival hall in front of the main airport exit. It takes about 45 minutes to transfer from the airport to the hotel. When guests arrive at the hotel, they will receive some information on how best to explore the Icelandic capital. There is a free shuttle bus from the hotel to downtown Reykjavik at 7:00pm, returning at 10:00pm.

Reykjavik is the capital of Iceland and was founded in 1786. Its important function as a seaport has led to its continual development over the past two-plus centuries. It has been called "the nightlife capital of the north."

Day 2 Reykjavik - Blue Lagoon - Hella(189 km)

After breakfast, we will visit the highlights of Reykjavik before setting out on the Reykjanes Peninsula to see the local hot springs, mountains, cliffs, fishing villages and more. At the end of the day, we will be able to soak our feet in the warm mineral waters of the famous Blue Lagoon. In the evening, we will look to the skies to see the extraordinary Northern Lights.

The Reykjanes Peninsula is most popularly known for the Keflavik International Airport and Blue Lagoon. A geothermal area, Reykjanes offers access to a wide array of activities including caves, hot springs, restaurants, museums, lighthouses, festivals, and dramatic landscape.

    Warm up in the Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spalocated in a lava field in southwestern Iceland, in Grindavik. Visitors can swim and relax in mineral rich water, said to have health benefits, in temperatures averaging 37-39'C (99-102'F).

Day 3 South Iceland(113 km)

In the morning, we will follow the south coast as we drive to an active volcano that sits below the Eyjafjallajokull Glacier, followed by a stop at the tall Seljalandsfoss waterfall. After that, we will visit the Skogar Folk Museums and see local homes. Nearby, we can also see Skogafoss, one of the most impressive waterfalls in the country. In the afternoon, we can take an optional glacier walk. Later, we will continue to the black beaches and amazing cliffs at Reynisfjara, near Vik. On clear nights, we will be able to see the extraordinary Northern Lights.

Selfoss is the largest town in southern Iceland, the Icelandic Route 1 runs through the town on its way between Hverageroi and Hella.

    This waterfall in Iceland is situated between the town of Selfoss and another waterfall, Skogafoss. At a height of 200 feet, it marks where the coastline of Iceland once was thousands of years ago.

There are many natural places of interest in the small beachside town of Vík, including puffin and arctic tern breeding grounds, a spectacular set of rock columns known as Reynisdrangar, and Dyrhólaey. There are also hiking trails, bird-watching trips, and horseback riding on the black sands or snowmobile on Mýrdalsjökull.

Day 4 Golden Circle - Reykjavik(192 km)

In the morning, we will learn about the adorable Icelandic horse before visiting a geothermal greenhouse. Then, we will drive along the Golden Circle, seeing steam rising from the geothermal fields of Geysir and the amazing waterfall of Gullfoss. Then, we will head inland to Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before continuing to Reykjavik. In the evening, we can take an optional Northern Lights cruise.

Iceland's Golden Circle is the country's most popular tourist route, featuring several of the top geological formations in the country, such as the geysers of Strokkur and Geysir, as well as the Gullfoss waterfall.

    Considered the first geyser discovered by modern Europeans, the eruptions of Geysir can send boiling water up to 70 meters in the air. Only 50 meters away is Strokkur, another famous Icelandic geyser.

Our journey will come to an end today as we say goodbye to our new friends over breakfast. Then, the FlyBus shuttle will take guests from Reykjavik to the airport.

Booking changes
All changes, amendments or additions must be confirmed prior to 60 days of the departure date to avoid cancellation or amendment fees. No new passengers may be added to a booking once completed.

a) Name & Tour Date changes requested within:

  • 60-30 days of departure will incur an amendment fee of £25 per person;
  • 29-15 days of departure will incur an amendment fee of £50 per person;
  • 14 days of departure will be made at the sole discretion of tour operator.
  • b) Tour Destination changes requested within:

  • 60-30 days of departure will incur an amendment fee of £35 per person;
  • 29 days of departure will be made at the sole discretion of tour operator.
  • Changing the tour date and/or the destination is subject to availability of the new requested date and/or the destination. If the revised tour has a higher price and/or local payment, the price difference must be paid by the passenger. It is not possible to transfer the booking to travel dates outside of seasonal dates covered in tour operator brochure or by the relevant edition of the website valid at the time the original booking was made. Hotelier cancellation charges are liable to be paid by the passenger in the event of booked pre-tour and post-tour accommodation being unused whatever the circumstances are.

    Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .


    Cancellations penalty within the balance payment period (60-0 days prior to departure) are as follows: (Notification day and departure day are not counted)

    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.

    Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

    Tour Cancellation:
    We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
