Day 1 Reykjavik

These self-driving tours begin either in Reykjavik or the Keflavik International Airport. After guests arrive at the airport, they will pick up their car and drive to the hotel. Then, they will have the rest of the day free at their own leisure to explore Reykjavik. Those who arrive early can pay a visit to the world-famous Blue Lagoon.

Day 2 Reykjavik - Golden Circle - Hvolsvollur(372 km)

Today, we can journey around the Golden Circle, Iceland's most famous tourist route. We will begin by driving to Thingvellir National Park to see the Almannagja Gorge. In Silfra, we can choose to go on an exhilarating snorkeling adventure! Then, we will continue to Geysir and Strokkur. Afterwards, we will visit Gulfoss waterfall. We can go snowboarding or horseback riding on the Langjokull glacier. We will spend the night near the small town of Hvolsvollur.

Iceland's Golden Circle is the country's most popular tourist route, featuring several of the top geological formations in the country, such as the geysers of Strokkur and Geysir, as well as the Gullfoss waterfall.

Day 3 Hvolsvollur - Vik - Vatnajokull National Park - Jokulsarlon(230 km)

Today, we will journey eastwards, passing over the black sands of the Solheimajokull glacier, where we can go hiking or snowmobiling. Then, we will arrive in the fishing village of Vik, where we can take an optional excursion to the Myrdalsjokull glacier and visit its stunning ice caves. Near Vik, we will also see the awe-inspiring black sand beach of Reynisfjara. Next, we will continue to the Skaftafell Nature Reserve, part of Vatnajokull National Park. We will walk on the Svartifoss waterfall, hidden in a canyon above the visitor center. After that, we will continue to the Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon and Diamond Beach.

Day 4 Jokulsarlon - Reykjavik(276 km)

We will begin the day by exploring Jokulsarlon further. The lagoon and nearby Diamond Beach are amazing for their natural beauty. In the summertime, we can take a boat ride out on the lagoon. In winter, we can explore some of the area?s ice caves. In Skaftafell, we will go hiking on the glacier. We will visit Fjaorargljufur Canyon, near the village of Klaustur, and Dyrholaey, a mountain with a large puffin population. We will also make a stop at Seljavallalaug, a pool hidden in a mountain crevasse. When we are back in the city of Reykjavik, we can visit the Harpa Concert Hall, visit some of the museums that are open late, see 3D map of Iceland at City Hall, cool off at one of the local jazz clubs or find a hot tub to relax in.

Day 5 Reykjavik

Today, guests will drive to the airport to drop their cars off and board their departure flights. If their flight is in the late afternoon or evening, they can exploer for a little while before heading to the airport. They can see Hallskrimskirkja, Ellidarardalur Park, Grotta Lighthouse, the Blue Lagoon and more.
