Day 2 Reykjavik - Golden Circle - Hvolsvollur(372 km)

Today, we can journey around the Golden Circle, Iceland's most famous tourist route. We will begin by driving to Thingvellir National Park to see the Almannagja Gorge. In Silfra, we can choose to go on an exhilarating snorkeling adventure! Then, we will continue to Geysir and Strokkur. Afterwards, we will visit Gulfoss waterfall. We can go snowboarding or horseback riding on the Langjokull glacier. We will spend the night near the small town of Hvolsvollur.

Iceland's Golden Circle is the country's most popular tourist route, featuring several of the top geological formations in the country, such as the geysers of Strokkur and Geysir, as well as the Gullfoss waterfall.

  • Always Visit
Considered the first geyser discovered by modern Europeans, the eruptions of Geysir can send boiling water up to 70 meters in the air. Only 50 meters away is Strokkur, another famous Icelandic geyser.
  • Always Visit
Merely a stone's throw from it's sibling, Geysir, Strokkur is a fountain geyser near the Hvita River. It erupts every 8-10 minues, averaging about 15-20 meters high each time.
  • Always Visit
This waterfall in southwest Iceland is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. It is a multi-tiered waterfall, which all empties into a crevice 32 meters deep.

Thingvellir National Park is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most popular tourist destination in Iceland. Thingvellir has unusual tectonic and volcanic geological features and visitors can enjoy a wide array of activities including camping, hiking, and scuba diving.

Day 3 Hvolsvollur - Selfoss - Vik - Reykjavik(343 km)

We will start the day by driving to the waterfall of Seljalandsfoss and its lesser known neighbor Gljufrabui. Down the road, we will see Skogafoss waterfall, as well as the Skogar Folk Museum. Today, we will also be able to go hiking on the Solheimajokull glacier, snowmobiling on Myrdalsjokull glacier or exploring a glacial ice cave. Near the village of Vik, we will be able to see the black sand beach of Reynisfjara. Finally, we will return to Reykjavik.

  • Always Visit
This waterfall in Iceland is situated between the town of Selfoss and another waterfall, Skogafoss. At a height of 200 feet, it marks where the coastline of Iceland once was thousands of years ago.

  • Always Visit
This waterfall in Iceland lies along the Skoga River where it once drained into the sea. The cliff at the top of the waterfall marks where the old coastline of Iceland was.
  • Always Visit
The southern coast of Iceland contains a unique surprise for visitors: black sand beaches, formed due to the region's volcanic activity. Reynisfjara in particular has been called the coolest beach in the country.
