Day 1: Playa del Carmen

Today we will meet with our tour guide at the hotel in Playa del Carmen. We will find water activities such as windsurfing, jet skis, kayaking or diving in the impressive Mayan coral reef. In the evening, we will join a welcome meeting with the group and tour leader followed by optional dinner & get-together in one of the local restaurants.

Day 2: Playa del Carmen

Today we will enjoy our leisure time in Playa del Carmen, where we could relax on the beach sipping a refreshing cocktail, choose among numerous outdoor activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, sea kayaking, parasailing, ATV riding, etc., or take a day trip to some of the local natural attractions or Mayan ruins, etc. In the evening, we will enjoy optional dinner & get-together with the group.

Day 3: Playa del Carmen - Tulum - Valladolid (155 km)

In the morning, we go to explore Tulum. We will learn the history behind this location as walking through different areas of the site. We can also walk down to the amazing beach and enjoy the white sand and turquoise water, see wild iguanas and beautiful tropical foliage throughout the site.
In the afternoon, we will arrive in Valladolid, known for its quiet streets and sun-splashed pastel walls. Afterwards, we will go to hotel for check-in, orientation walk and enjoy our free time to explore this beautiful town, optional dinner & get-together with the group in the evening.

Day 4: Valladolid - Cenote Ik Kil - Chichen Itza - Celestun (229 km)

In the morning, we will go to Cenote Ik Kil . In order to reach the water, we have to climb down 26 meters. In the afternoon, we will continue to Chichen Itza. In the evening, we will arrive at our accommodation in Celestun: check-in, optional dinner & get-together with the group.

We will visit an indescribable cactus forest with other very old xerophytes, see outcrops of fossils &footprints of dinosaurs etc. In the afternoon, we will continue to Puebla. In the morning we will go to nearby Cholula. After arrival, we will visit the former Franciscan Convent of San Gabriel. It was placed right over the Great Pyramid. In the afternoon, we will then come to visit the fabulous archaeological zone Teotihuacan.     Also known as Tlachihualtepetl, it is a huge complex located in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico. It is the largest archaeological site of a pyramid (temple) in the New World, as well as the largest pyramid known to exist in the world today. The pyramid stands 55 metres above the surrounding plain, and in its final form it measured 450 by 450 metres. The pyramid is a temple that traditionally has been viewed as having been dedicated to the god Quetzalcoatl.

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office.     30-59 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
    15-29 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.

    Day of departure - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    Cancellation penalties of all extra services booked with us (airport transfers, pre and post night accommodations, single room surcharge and additional activities):
    31 days or more prior to departure - No cancellation penalty.
    30 days or less prior to departure - 100% of the price of extra services.
    NOTE: There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties. We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
