Day 1 Scottsdale - Sedona - Grand Canyon(238 miles)

After departing the Phoenix metro area, Sedona will be our first stop along the tour. Guests will have a chance to photograph the famous Red Rocks, stretch their legs and take a quick walk around this picturesque town. While you are enjoying Sedona, your guide will pick up your excellent picnic lunch made fresh that morning before departing to the Grand Canyon. Upon departing Sedona, the tour passes through Oak Creek Canyon, a scenic byway that winds through 2000 vertical feet of a red walled canyon to emerge surrounded by the dense ponderosa pines of the Coconino National Forest.

Atop the Mogollon Rim, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff on our way to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Guests will enjoy the magnificent views that open up in front of them while standing on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon which invites the feelings of being awe struck. While at the South Rim of the National Park, you will have opportunities to walk the rim, shop, capture an unlimited amount of photographs, or enjoy your lunch and relax with the best seat in the house. At approximately 1:30pm your guide will assist you in your hotel check in and you will have the remainder of the day to relax overlooking one of the Natural Wonders of the World.

I recommend this tour!

The tour was good. The guides were very informed especially Les. I would recommend staying overnight as you get time to experience the area and have a nice drink and appetizer or meal at el To at. Sunset and sunrise scenery are beautiful. Recommendations would be a different type or time of lunch. Sandwiches were good, a bit too big and awkward to eat on the bus. Also, the hotel I stayed at Masik Lodge was a little dated. Overall good experience and I am glad I decided to stay over. Too much road time to do it all in one day.
