1-Day Grand Canyon Day Trip Tour from Phoenix Metro

Day 1 Phoenix-Sedona-Flagstaff-Grand Canyon-Phoenix(388 miles)

Guests will be picked up from the specified departure locations in Phoenix. We will begin the day by driving through the Sonoran Desert., a vast landscape filled with huge saguaro cacti. We will make a brief stop to view the majestic red rocks of Sedona. Then, we will drive through Oak Creek Canyon, one of the top scenic drive in the country, until we can see the Ponderosa Pines of Flagstaff and pass the dormant volcanoes of the San Francisco Peaks. Before we enter the Grand Canyon, we will make a brief stop at the Navajo Reservation to shop for authentic Native American souvenirs at the historic Cameron Trading Post. After that, we will take in the beautiful views along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, getting glimpses of the mighty Colorado River. Before we depart, we can visit and shop at many of the area's historic buildings and museums, like the Hopi House, the rustic El Tovar Lodge, the Grand Canyon Railway Station, and Kolb Studio. Flagstaff, AZ Flagstaff is a city located in northern Arizona, in the southwestern United States. Flagstaff lies near the southwestern edge of the Colorado Plateau, along the western side of the largest contiguous Ponderosa Pine forest in the continental United States.

  San Francisco Volcanic Field This volcanic field in Northern Arizona, a few miles from the city of Flagstaff, is a popular area for hiking. Humphreys Peak, the highest point in the state at 12,633 feet, is located in the field.

Grand Canyon, AZ Considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon was carved over 17 million years by the Colorado River. This breathtaking, 18-mile-long canyon has been stunning visitors for hundreds of years.

  Oak Creek Canyon Called the little cousin of the Grand Canyon, this 12-mile canyon in Arizona is a popular tourist spot. It offers swimming and fishing areas in addition to hiking, picnic area, and campgrounds.

  Cameron Trading Post Located on the Navajo Indian Reservation's lands, this store and motel is a popular stop for groups traveling to and from the Grand Canyon. The oldest building looks like a store right out of the U.S.'s cowboy culture.

  Colorado River The major river of the Amaerican Southwest, the Colorado River winds 1,450 miles (2,330 km) through mountains, deserts, and other diverse landscapes of parts of seven U.S. and two Mexican states.

• Optimal time for this tour is from March to October due to the angle of the sun to achieve those beautiful beams of light. Tour operates all year long but Winter is not ideal for picture opportunities.
• We recommend guests wear comfortable shoes and clothes, light shirt, shorts, rain jacket, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
• We require that all children aged 4 and younger be in a car seat. You may bring your own or we can provide one for you. If you would like to use one of our car seats please let us know in advance so we can reserve one for you
