Day 1 Antelope Canyon(249 miles)

From Phoenix and Scottsdale, we will travel along Route 66 through the Sonoran Desert to the picturesque mountain town of Flagstaff, which sits at the base of the San Francisco Peaks. From here, we will continue north to the Lake Powell region. When we come to Page, we will get to tour breathtaking Antelope Canyon, where a local Navajo guide will lead us. We will make a photo stop along the shores of Lake Powell before going back to Page to enjoy lunch at one of the local eateries. After our time here, we will take a scenic one mile walk to overlook Horseshoe Bend.

The most popular slot canyon in the American Southwest is Antelope Canyon, a sandstone formation formed by flood and rainwater. The canyon is located on a Navajo reservation, and has been made a Navajo Tribal Park.
