Day 1 Paris - Giverny - Etretat - Caen(301 km)

Today, we will depart Paris at 8:00am for the Monet House. Then, we will head towards Etretat in Upper Normandy to see Elephant Rock. After that, we will drive to Caen for the night.

A settlement has existed in Giverny since neolithic times and a monument uncovered attests to this fact. Archeological finds have included booties dating from Gallo-Roman times and to the earlier 1st and 2nd centuries AD. The town was known in ancient deeds as "Warnacum". The cultivation of grapes has been an occupation of the inhabitants of Giverny since Merovingian times.

    For more than 40 years, this house was the home of legendary impressionist painter Claude Monet. After his death, his don donated it to the Academie des Beaux-Arts, who restored it and turned it into a museum.

Then, we will make our way to Mont-Saint-Michel, one of the most stunning locales in the world. In the afternoon, we will drive to Paris, where the tour will come to an end. The tour guide was good and friendly.I found the time to stay at Etretat should be increased and time at Trouville-sur-Mer can be reduced as there is Nothing much to do.Otherwise the overall stay and bus ride , itenary was very good.We enjoyed a lot the trip.Thank you
