Day 1 Paris - Lucerne (486 km)

Today we will board a luxury coach in Paris and enjoy a scenic drive through the French countryside en route to the mountains of Switzerland. Passing through Basel, located at the point where the Swiss, French, and German borders meet, we will eventually reach the lakeside city of Lucerne. Here, we will see the city's famous landmarks, including the Chapel Bridge, the Water Tower, and some examples of wonderfully preserved Baroque and Gothic architecture. Afterwards, we will have some free time to shop and take pictures before the tour comes to a close.

Day 2 Lucerne - Milan - Venice (432 km)

In the morning, we'll have more time to take photos in Lucerne. And then, we will head to Milan, IT. First, we will visit Sforza Castle, and then the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and Teatro alla Scala. After, we will head to Venice, IT or nearby city for the night.

Day 3 Venice - Rome (393 km)

Of course, the ultimate Venice activity is to take a gondola ride through the Grand Canal, and for most people this optional excursion is a must. We will spend the night in the Rome, IT area.

Day 4 Rome - Vatican City - Arezzo (184 km)

In the morning we will visit Vatican City, VA, home of the Roman-Catholic papacy and the smallest sovereign state in the world. There, we will visit St. Peter's Basilica. Alternatively, you can choose to add on the optional Sistine Chapel tour to view Michelangelo's famous painted ceiling. Next you'll see the famous Trevi Fountain. After lunch, we will tour spectacular Rome, IT. An optional guided tour of the Coliseum, is highly recommended. We'll also get up close to the nearby Arch of Constantine and optional to tour the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Martyrs or shop at TYO before journey to Arezzo or nearby city for the night.

I loved our tour! Everything was set-up right. Our tour guide Lex and our coach bus Driver Mr. Keige (nit sure if it's spelled right) were great. We got to see Italy and other countries/cites in a great way. I am very happy. It was a great first time experience. :)

The last hotel we stayed at was not good at all. It was hotel Compabeni or something like that in France. The tub was too high so we had to use a chair to get in and out. And there was no hair dryer ,no elevator. Other than that, it was an awesome tour. Very good and nice driver and tour coach. I wish the tour had schedule to show Paris also because a lot of people came to see Paris and when tour title says from Paris it seems that Paris is included but it was not. Hotel breakfasts were really good and if you are lucky you will travel with a group who I traveled with- very nice group.

My wife and I had an amazing time on the green line tour. We didn't know what to expect or how the days would progress. We wanted to see as much as possible yet not be too rushed. All in all we found it to be just what we were looking for. Szebasztian, our guide was funny, well informed and very easy going. Marek the coach driver was extremely professional as he weaved his way through the tiny streets of Italy. Bravo guys. There were a few times when we would have liked an extra day in certain places as well as getting into the sea at Sanremo but all in all it was a fantastic and well planned out trip. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see most of Italy. Comfortable shoes and lots of water are a must if you get the gorgeous weather we had. Our compliments to TakeTours for their amazing itinerary.

This was my first experience with TakeTours and found that the green line tour was well organized and budget friendly. I really enjoyed going to all the places in Italy, France, and short stops in Switzerland. There is a lot of travel time on the bus since there are many places to cover within the 7 days. I recommend this tour if you would like to see many places and do not have the time to travel by yourself. There were travelers on the tour who did not stay for the full 7 days, and spent additional time in Italy by themselves. This is an option if you would like to stay longer in Italy and explore on your own. There is limited time at each place due to the travel time between cities. The hotels were 3 to 4 stars, and were very comfortable. There was a full breakfast at two to three hotels and continental breakfast at other hotels. Both the tour guide, Szebastien, and bus driver, Rob, were really friendly and made the trip really fun and enjoyable!

I recommend this tour!

My wife and I took the green-line (Switzerland, Italy) tour last week. We had absolutely the best time visiting all of the countries and destinations. I was bit skeptical that we might be rushing through all the cities, and we might be getting hearing instructions in English and Chinese side-by-side (based on earlier experience). But our tour was exclusively in English; After completing the tour, we felt we had sufficient time to explore each destination (Lucerne, Milan, Verona, Venice, Vatican, Rome, Florence, Pisa, Aliasso, Monaco, Cannes). Originally before the tour I was planning to use travel on my own through train, but not only my trains got cancelled in France (due to a strike), I realized that I would not have been as efficient on my own in countries where I do not know local language. By taking the bus-tour, I arrived fresh at each destination ready to roam and enjoy. This is an ideal tour for you if * You are limited on time * You are limited on budget * You want to maximize the number of destinations you want to visit * You don't want to manage logistics (hotel booking, train tickets, flight tickets) This tour is NOT for you if... * You want leisure and flexibility in amount of time you spend on each destination * You have hard time keeping up with time or waking up in morning¦ the bus generally departs at 8:30 AM from hotel * You like to travel independently / bag packing If you are taking this tour, I suggest¦ * Sitting on the LEFT side of the bus as most of the scenic routes are to the left * Keeping an umbrella * Keeping a travel pillow * Make sure you have all your necessities with you on your carry on About the tour guide + driver: * Our guide - Lex (KinWai Tang) and coach driver - Rob were very professional * They both spoke English fluently * Both Lex and Rob were extremely friendly and helpful * They dealt with all the passengers with patience and utmost respect * Both in Venice and Florence they coordinated with local tour guide who takes the group to interior of the city (no extra cost) Tour experience: * Of the seven-day tour, first and the last day were exclusively for driving. So better be prepared! * The bus makes rest-stops every 2-3 hours * They played several new movies while on the move to keep passengers entertained -- the bus only had 2 TV screens. * HOTELS / LODGING: Tour includes hotel stay for six nights. Night # 1: Hotel in Zurich was 4-star like Night # 2: Hotel near Venice was a 3-star like Night # 3: 3-4 star like hotel; I did not have any complaints but some other passengers said their rooms were not clean Night # 4: 4-star hotel; really spectacular interiors Night # 5: Was a beach-front hotel; we were fortunate to get sea-facing room with balcony Night # 6: It was a motel; I didn't care given accommodation for the earlier five days was amazing * HOTEL BREAKFAST: Morning breakfast at all of the hotels is included. Both my wife and I are vegetarian but we had ample choices in the morning breakfast. About me: Male, 32, from US, not of Chinese heritage (p.s. if you like Pringles, buy them from US!! They are sold for 4-5 Euro - 6-8 USD)

I recommend this tour!

One of our tour group members went missing in Colosseum and Tim managed to find her after nearly an hour of search. This tour group is helpful and friendly. However, we find the bus journey is too long and the time spent at each spot is sometimes too little.
