Day 1 The Bronx

Today, we will explore the Bronx to discover a world unto itself, a borough of surprising beauty with rolling hills and parks. We will see the Grand Concourse, which features 7 km of beautiful Art Deco buildings and architectural treasures, including Edgar Allen Poe's Cottage, the Walk of Fame, and the Bronx Museum of Art. In the neighborhood of Riverdale, we will be able to enjoy spectacular views of the Hudson River. We will pass by impressive Yankee Stadium and the neo-Gothic buildings of Fordham University. We will get to see one of the world's largest urban zoos at the Bronx Zoo, which houses over 600 species of animals from around the world. Finally, we will experience one of the borough's hidden gems, City Island, a charming historic seaport community with the feel of a small town. We will enjoy lunch at one of its famous seafood restaurants. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.
