Child rates: Child rates apply to those who are 0-12 years old. Child above 2 years must take the seat. Customers are welcome to use child safety seats on that have lap and/or shoulder belts/harnesses for the infant under 2 years. Please note that each hotel room can only accommodate up to 4 guests of any age.

Day 1: New York - Adirondak Park - Lake Placid (360 miles)

Guests will be picked up in New York in the early morning. From there, we will head north to Whiteface Mountain in Upstate New York's Adirondack Park, where guests will have the chance to take a Gondola Ride to the top of the mountain. From there, we will move on to Lake Placid, where we will explore Main Street, the location of the Olympic Center as well as some shopping and dining.

Adirondack Park, NY

This massive park is the largest of its kind in the country, as well as the largest National Historic Site. It encompasses all of upstate New York's Adirondack Mountains as well as some of the surrounding areas.

Whiteface Mountain Lift

Whiteface Mountain is the fifth-tallest mountain in New York! Join us as we take you to explore the beauty of Whiteface mountain! You can take a hike along the Stag Brook Falls trail or Bear Den Mountain or view the difficult and challenging Mountain biking terrain! Whiteface Mountain even offers a Lift to the top of the mountain, where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the mountain! The best part is, if you visit on a sunny day with clear vision, you will be able to see the entire Lake Placid!

Whiteface Mountain

Whiteface Mountain is the fifth-tallest mountain in New York State and one of the High Peaks of the Adirondacks. Because of its relative isolation from the other High Peaks, it offers unparalleled views of the surrounding area.

Lake Placid Town, NY

Lake Placid is well known among winter-sports enthusiasts for its skiing, both Alpine and Nordic. It hosted the 1932 and the 1980 Winter Olympics.

High Falls Gorge

The High Falls Gorge is located near Lake Placid, New York amidst the Adirondack Mountains. It is the location where the Ausable River spills over the edge of Whiteface Mountain.

Lake Placid

This lake and its eponymous town in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York are favorite vacation destinations for people all over New England. From hiking and mountain climbing to fishing and boating, there is never nothing to do!

Olympic Center

The Olympic Center at Lake Placid, New York was the site of the famous 1980 Olympics, best known for the hockey showdown between the United States and Russia in which a scrappy American team dethroned the Russian powerhouse.

Day 2: Ausable Chasm - Lake George - New York (412 miles)

We will start the day at the Ausable Chasm, where we will get the opportunity to descend hundreds of feet as we walk along the natural stone walkways in the area. Our second stop will be Lake George in the Adirondacks, where we will board the Minnehaha, which has a glass-enclosed engine for those who want to see it at work. In the evening, we will return to New York City, where the tour will come to an end. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

Keeseville, NY

Keeseville is a hamlet in Clinton and Essex counties, New York, in the United States.It developed along the Ausable River, which provided water power for mills and industrial development.

Ausable Chasm

Ausable Chasm, carved into upstate New York's Adirondack Mountains by an eponymous river, is made of 500-foot-thick Potsdam sandstone that is over 500 million years old. At its southern end, it drains into Lake Champlain.

Take a cruise of lovely Lake George from aboard the Minnehaha, the Lake George Steamboat Company's authentic paddle-wheel boat.

If you would like to join the optional activities, please pay the fee in cash to the tour guide. You cannot buy / use the tickets on your own or use City Passes. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for the group.

Meals and drinks unspecified during the trip.
A mandatory service fees: Minimum $12 / day / person should be paid in cash to tour guide and the bus driver as a service fee. Any child / Infant reserving a seat will have to pay the service fees as well. Ex: 2 people taking a 2-day tour would pay: $12 x 2 (seats) x 2 (days) = $48.
Personal room fees: such as laundry or valet services, telephone calls, or alcoholic beverages/mini bar items, unless they are otherwise specified.

Additional Note

Hotel & Tour Guide Information: This information will be provided by the tour guide the night before departure between 7:00pm - 9:00pm EST via phone call or text message. If for any reason you do not receive the call or text, you should be at the pickup location at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
Tour route may be changed and reversed; you may contact the vendor 1-2 days prior departure to confirm final itinerary
Customers are held solely responsible for their own travel documents and/or visas if required.
Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.
Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
City passes are not accepted during an escorted tour due to the fact that they do not correspond into the tour schedule. The group entrance tickets provided by tour guides have fast lane and tour guides accompany passengers for activities

Confirmation

All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
15 days or more prior to departure - Free cancellation with full refund.
8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
Within 7 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.

Our tour guide Lawrence was very efficient in managing this tour, and we loved the overall experience with Taketours. Although our bus could have been more comfortable considering we had long journeys, the rest of the things like accommodation, timeliness , and the general itinerary was enjoyable.
