Day 1: New York - Finger Lakes - Watkins Glen (277 miles)

Departure from New York in the morning, our first stop will visit Watkins Glen State Park. Watkins Glen - has carved a dramatic gorge into the Watkins Glen hillside, resulting in a large, cavern-like network of rock formations. Afterward, we will approach the Finger Lakes region where we will take a boat ride to enjoy the scenic view of the lake area.

Watkins Glen, NY

Watkins Glen is a village in Schuyler County, New York. This is the birthplace of the Watkins Glen International, one of the premier automobile road racing tracks in the United States. Sitting on the south shore of Seneca Lake, it is also famous for its beautiful natural sceneries.

Watkins Glen State Park

Glen Creek has carved a dramatic gorge into the Watkins Glen hillside, resulting in a large, cavern-like network of rock formations.

The Finger Lakes is a group of 11 long, narrow, roughly north-south lakes in central New York. The Lake's shapes reminded early map-makers of human fingers.

Finger Lakes Cruise (Optional if time permits)

The Finger Lakes are so named because their long, thin shape and north-south orientation give them an uncannily similar appearance to hands. The two biggest lakes, Cayuga and Seneca, are among the deepest in the United States.

Corning, NY

Corning is a city in Steuben County, New York, United States, on the Chemung River. The population was 11,183 at the 2010 census. It is named for Erastus Corning, an Albany financier and railroad executive who was an investor in the company that developed the community.

Corning Museum of Glass

This museum in western New York is dedicated to the history, art, and science behind glassmaking. Its collection contains more than 45,000 objects, some of which date back millennia. It was founded in 1951 and sees 400,000 visitors annually.

Corning Museum of Glass only will be When the Seneca Lake cruise does not provide appropriate schedule or service to meet up our tour schedule.

Day 2: Letchworth State Park - New York (320 miles)

This morning, we will continue our tour in Grand Canyon of the East (Letchworth State Park). There, we are going to enjoy White Water Drift (*White Water Rapid request customer ages 10+). Late afternoon, we will end our tour and head back to New York.

Letchworth State Park, NY

This park in the far western region of New York State is home to a large section of the Genesee River. There are three large waterfalls in the park as well as a number of smaller ones.

Genesee River Gorge

The Genesee River, which runs out of the Pennsylvania border through western New York and into Lake Ontario, has carved a gorge so magnificent into Letchworth State Park that the chasm has been called the "Grand Canyon of the East."

White Water Rapid

The rafting was a lot of fun! The scenery from the river looking up was spectacular! And it was an adventure navigating thru the Rapids.

If you would like to join the optional activities, please pay the fee in cash to the tour guide. You cannot buy / use the tickets on your own or use City Passes. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for the group.

A mandatory service fees: Minimum $12 / day / person should be paid in cash to tour guide and the bus driver as a service fee. Any child / Infant reserving a seat will have to pay the service fees as well. Ex: 2 people taking a 2-day tour would pay: $12 x 2 (seats) x 2 (days) = $48.
Personal room fees: such as laundry or valet services, telephone calls, or alcoholic beverages/mini bar items, unless they are otherwise specified.

Customers are held solely responsible for their own travel documents and/or visas if required.
Luggage: Each customer may bring on board one checked luggage plus one carry-on bag.
Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.
Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
This tour does not accept any City Pass or your own tickets for the attraction. Passengers who take this tour need to purchase admission tickets from tour escort upon arrival.

Confirmation

All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
15 days or more prior to departure - Free cancellation with full refund. Please reconfirm the penalty for the added hotel or flight ticket.
8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
Within 7 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.

Hi, I dont' want to go to Secret cavern and corning museum. I been there. Can you guys give me a list of exact price for the optional tours? Because sometimes you guys charge more and last time the tour guide Yuki took same amount of money for my 10 year old brother when child are charged less.

I'm waiting for this tour so much! I want to visit WAtkin Glen park. Unfortunately when I got tour to Niagara we didn't go to that park I was upset. Hope I can booked this tour soon

What I liked about this trip was that my tour guide was very on time. Also, all of the attraction were so amazing (Finger Lakes, Secret Cavern, Watkins Glen, Grand Canyon of the East (Letchworth State Park), Corning Glass Museum). You can't miss them with this price.

This trip was very fun and productive! I really enjoyed this trip. I was pleased by how the guide told us where we were going to go next, how much time we were going to take to get there, and what we would actually do once we got there. The hotel was amazingly awesome. As soon as I got on the bed, I was dead asleep. I would go back with the way these people treated us, and the quality of this trip.

This is one of the best tour packages we have ever had. The whole route is very scenic. The Secret Caverns is very thrilling and amazing. The walking trail in Watkins Glenn is very scenic and beautiful. The rafting experience in Genessee River (the Grand Canyon of East), is the highlight in this tour. It is safe and thrilling. I could buy some beautiful stuff in the Corning gift shop, which was on sale. I totally enjoyed this tour very much. For people who prefer not to do trail walking or do rafting, there is option to enjoy the nature in these places. We couldn't have seen so many places in detail, if we had gone on our own. The tour guide, Mr.Lawrence, is a very nice, informative and pleasant person. Thanks to the driver and our guide, we had such a nice weekend. I recommend this tour to all adventure seekers and nature lovers.
