Day 1 New Orleans

After guests have met at the specified departure location, we will begin this cultural ghost tour. As we walk through St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, a setting in the classic film "Easy Rider," our professional guide will recount the backgrounds of the most famous people buried there, like Marie Laveau - the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. We will learn about the evolution of Voodoo, and how it is still practiced to this day. Then, we will find out what "Gris-Gris" means when we receive a souvenir bag full of mysterious ingredients required for "Gris-Gris." Afterwards, we will return to the departure point, where we will end the tour. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

The city known as the "Big Easy" is most famous for its colorful and exciting Mardi Gras celebration. Visitors will marvel at its distinctive Cajun culture and cuisine that is unlike anything else in the world.

  • Always Visit
Three cemeteries in New Orleans share this name because of their unique layout and entombment system: all the graves are above-ground, which is why these cemeteries are nicknamed the "Cities of the Dead."
