Today, we will visit the hilltop town of Anacapri, where we will see the stunning Villa San Michele, built by the famous architect Axel Munthe. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will continue to Capri where we will visit the famous Piazzetta. Here, we'll see the Augustus Gardens, which provides a magnificent view of the Faraglioni. We will also have time to walk through the picturesque streets full of lively coffee bars and exclusive boutiques.
Capri, ITALY
Capri is an island located in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrentine Peninsula, on the south side of the Gulf of Naples in the Campania region of Italy. The main town Capri that is located on the island shares the name. It has been a resort since the time of the Roman Republic.
Anacapri
This community on the island of Capri is located on an elevated section of the island, about 150 meters above Capri, providing exquisite views of the Mediterranean Sea and the city of Naples.
Piazza Umberto I
Piazza Umberto I, or La Piazzetta, meaning "little square," is the most famous square and city center the island of Capri. The main feature of the square is a picturesque clock tower. Guests can enjoy dining at local cafes and restaurants.
Gardens of Augustus
Originally named the Krupp Gardens after the German industrialist who designed them in the early 20th century, these gardens in Capri overlook the Mediterranean and provide visitors with a panoramic view of the island.
