Day 1 Miami-Everglades Park-Sanibel Island-Fort Myers(181 miles)

We will depart from Miami and drive into Alligator Alley, a stretch of road that connects the West and Southeastern parts of Florida, until we reach Everglades National Park. Our first stop will be at Billie Swamp Safari (or similar), where we will take an Airboat Ride. After our time in the park, we will continue west, stopping for a quick lunch break (not included in price) in Bonita Springs. After lunch, we will continue on our way to Sanibel Island, where we will be able to take some free time to stroll through this little slice of paradise or lay out on the beach. In the evening, we will take a sunset cruise on the Gulf of Mexico.

The Everglades National Park of Southern Florida is a beautiful area that is most easily navigated on an airboat ride that cruises through the swamp channels. An Everglades Safari Park showcases the local wildlife and Miami is the nearest city.

We will begin the day by visiting the estates of two famous titans of industry, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, by visiting the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. Then, we will continue north to take the Babcock Wilderness Adventure Tour. Afterwards, we will return to Miami via Alligator Alley, stopping along the way at the Sawgrass Mills Outlet Malls for some shopping.
