Day 1 Mexico City

As guests arrive at the airport in Mexico City, they will be met by a tour representative who will help them transfer to the hotel.

Day 2 Mexico City

Today, we will first visit the Shrine of Guadalupe before visiting the Aztec pyramids at Teotihuacan.

The capital of Mexico and one of the most important economic centers in the world traces its history back to the year 1351 and the Aztec empire's famous Tenochtitlan. It is a center of world history and Mexican culture.

Day 3 Mexico City - Oaxaca City(463 km)

Today, we will travel from Mexico City to Oaxaca City. This trip will take about 9 hours.

Day 4 Oaxaca City

Today, we will tour a local Mezcal Factory and the Aztec ruins of Monte Alba.

Oaxaca de Juirez, or simply Oaxaca, is the capital and largest city of the Mexican state by the same name. As one of the most biologically diverse states in Mexico, tourists enjoy archaeological sites in the Central Valley region and gorgeous coastal beaches.

Day 5 San Cristobal de Las Casas - Sumidero Canyon

Today, we will transfer by boat to Sumidero Caynon where we might be able to see crocodiles. Later, after we have docked, we will visit the village of Chiapas de Corzo for an hour of free time. In the evening, we will return to San Cristobal.

San Cristóbal de las Casas is a town and municipality located in the Central Highlands region of the Mexican state of Chiapas. Most of the city’s economy is based on tourism. Major landmarks of the city include the Cathedral, the Santo Domingo church with its large open air crafts market and the Casa Na Bolom museum.

Day 6 San Cristobal de las Casas-Palenque(213 km)

Today, we will get an early start at 6:00am when we head to Agua Azul, where we can swim and take pictures. Later, we will see the waterfall at Misol Ha before heading to the ruins at Palenque.

Day 7 Palenque - Merida

We will enjoy the first part of the day exploring the Palenque ruins on our own. Later, we will take an overnight bus from Palenque to Merida.

Day 8 Merida - Uxmal - Kaba - Merida(149 km)

Today, we will travel to the archaeological site of Uxmal where we will spend the first part of the day exploring the palace ruins. Later, we will go to Kava to see even more remnants of the Mayan people. In the evening, we will return to Merida to explore the city at night, try the local cuisine, and do some sightseeing.

Located in the North of Yucatan, the city is a commercial and political powerhouse.The ruins of the ancient city of Uxmal are well preserved and are considered one of the architectural masterpieces of the mayan civilization.Many of the buildings are made of well-cut stones, not putty, and the overall style is elegant and beautiful.

Merida is the capital of Mexico's Yucatan state.It is located in the northwest of the state, about 35 kilometers (22 miles) from the gulf of Mexico.In 2003, the city had a population of 793,000, ranking 11th in all the Mexico.

Day 9 Merida - Chichen Itza - Cancun(319 km)

Today, we will make our way to Chichen Itza to explore the most famous Mayan ruins. Afterwards, we will transfer to Cancun for the evening.

The most famous Mayan archaeological site, was a major focal point in the Northern Maya Lowlands from the Late Classic through the Terminal Classic and into the early portion of the Postclassic period.

Day 10 Cancun - Havana(512 km)

Today, we will fly from Cancun to Havana. There are no planned activities for today, so once we have checked into the hotel, we can feel free to explore the city at our own leisure.

Day 11 Havana - Vinales Valley(218 km)

Before departing Havana, we will go on a walking tour of the historic city center for about two hours. Our next destination is the valley of Vinales, about a 4 hour drive from Havana. We will have the remainder of the day to explore this culturally rich city at our own leisure.

Day 12 Vinales

We will have another day to explore Vinales. There is so much to do in this magnificent valley that is surrounded by picturesque limestone pincushion hills. We will have the option to explore caves, hike, ride bikes, horseback ride, or simply enjoy the views of the valley and sprawling tobacco fields. This is one of the most agriculturally productive areas of Cuba, so there is an abundance of seasonal fruit and vegetable on offer, such as enormous avocados and mangos, pineapples, papaya, guava, and several varieties of sweet potatoes. There is also a very active nightlife in this village.

Day 13 Vinales - Havana - Bay of Pigs - Cienfuegos(448 km)

Today, we will drive from Vinales to the city of Cienfuegos, founded by the French. Our route will take us back through Havana and along the famous Bay of Pigs, where, in 1961, counter-revolutionary exile militia landed. There is a museum in the area that details this conflict. We will also make a stop at a beautiful cenote, where we can take a swim and go to a nearby beach (if the conditions are favorable). When we reach Cienfuegos, we will be able to take in the magnificent ambience.

This city on Cuba's southern coast was settled in 1819 by French immigrants. Its name in English translates to "one hundred fires." The historic city center is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 14 Cienfuegos - Trinidad(81 km)

Today, we will travel from Cienfuegos to Trinidad, one of the standout destinations in Cuba. It is a city steeped in religiosity, especially Santeria, one of several Afro-Cuban religions. With 10 live music venues all within short walking distance of each other, Trinidad is loved for its nightlife. In the nearby Valle de los Ingenios and the Playa Ancon, we can enjoy long stretches of unspoiled white sand beaches, where we can scuba dive, snorkel, swim in waterfalls, horseback ride, and much more.

Day 15 Trinidad

We will be able to spend the day at our own leisure in Trinidad.

Day 16 Trinidad - Havana(397 km)

On our way back to Havana, we will stop in the town of Santa Clara, a key city in the Cuban Revolution. Upon entering the town, we will see a huge statute of Ernesto Che Guevara to commemorate his death and that of the revolutionaries who died along with him in Bolivia. There is also a museum here dedicated to his life. When we reach Havana, we will have one final night to explore, enjoy the local cuisine, and have a fun night out!

A city in central Cuba, Santa Clara was founded in 1689. It was the site of the last battle during the Cuban Revolution in 1958, which was won by Che Guevara.

Day 17 Havana

Today, guests are able to depart Havana at any time, depending on when they scheduled their departure flights. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding when to schedule flights.
