Day 1: Marrakech

As guests arrive at the terminal, they should keep their eyes out for the tour guide holding a sign, who will help them transfer to the hotel in Marrakech. Once everyone has arrived, we will gather in the hotel lobby at 7:00pm to meet each other and hold a fast, informal introductory meeting. There is an optional group dinner (MAD100) available for us to get to know our fellow travelers.

Day 2: Mhamid - Essaouria (167 km)

After breakfast we will visit the key sites of bustling Marrakech such as Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace & Dar Si Said Museum. Then we will drive to Essaouira. We will make a stop at Argan Women Cooperative to learn all about the making of Argan oil. A 'magical' product that's native to Morocco, it is used in delicious meals and extensively in cosmetics. As you arrive Essaouira, you can go out to explore its charming Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

    Marrakech is a major city in the northwest African nation of Morocco. It is the fourth largest city in the country after Casablanca, Fes and Tangier, and is the capital of the mid-southwestern region of Marrakesh-Tensift-El Haouz.

    Koutoubia Mosque

    Located in Marrakesh's medina quarter, this mosque is the city's largest, built around the 12th-century B.C.E., and located near the Jemaa el-Fna marketplace. At night, the entire complex is illuminated by floodlights.

    Saadian Tombs

    This system of tombs dates back to roughly the late 1600s, and was rediscovered in the early 1900s. The tombs are now one of Marrakech's major tourist attractions because of their intricate designs.

    Bahia Palace

    "Bahia" means "brilliance," and one would be hard-pressed to come up with a more apt descriptor for the Bahia Palace in Marrakech, a 19th-century complex that was intended to be the most magnificent palace in the world.

Day 3: Essaouira - Casablanca (306 km)

Today, we will explore Casablanca, where we will visit United Nations Square, the Anfa Residential Quarter, the Hassan II Mosque and the medina. Before dinner, have a short photo stop by Rick's Café from the classic Hollywood movie named after the town & watch the sunset by the ocean.

Day 4: Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen - Tetouan (278 km)

Today we will drive to Rabat, visit around the capital city of Morocco set in a rich, amber-coloured landscape combining the ancient history with the modern Moroccan culture. We will visit Kasbah and overlook the Bouregreg River, Royal Palace, Chellah Ruins, Mohammed V Mausoleum and Hassan II Tower. Then, we will head to Chefchaouen and wander the narrow streets, enjoying this breathtaking mountain village. We will spend the night in Tetouan.

    Kasbah of the Udayas

    The old castle of Udayas is the old castle of Rabat, Morocco. Located at the mouth of the Bou Regreg in Morocco, Udayas Kasbah is one of the most unique sites in the country.

    Royal Palace

    The Royal Palace is the main official residence of the Moroccan king. It is located in the town of Touarga, the capital of Rabat.Located at the end of the church, the palace was built in 1864 and is the main residence of the royal family. It is forbidden for tourists.

    Chellah

    Chellah is a ruin of a walled wall, just a short walk from the current Medina of Rabat, south of the Ville Nouvelle. Chellah is a medieval fortified Muslim cemetery on the south side of the Bou Regreg estuary in the metropolitan area of Rabat, Morocco.

    Mausoleum of Mohammed V

    This mausoleum in Rabat is the burial site of King Mohammed V, who was king of the country until his death in 1961. The mausoleum is considered a beautiful example of the architectural style of the Alaouite Dynasty.

    Hassan Tower

    The Hassan Tower is all that remains of an incomplete mosque, built in the 12th century AD, that was intended to be the world's largest. The Tower is only half as high as originally intended.

Day 5: Tetouan - Chefchaouen - Fes (130 km)

Today we explore the blue city of Morocco, Chefchaouen, where we will visit the Medina, Outa el-Hammam Square, the Ras el-Maa Waterfall and the Spanish Mosque, which provides the best views of the city. In the afternoon, we will drive to Fes and spend the night here.

Day 6: Fes

Today, we will go sightseeing in the amazing city of Fes, visiting the Bab Bouloud Gate, Bou Inania Medersa, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, Andalusian, the Quaraouiyine Mosque, Najjarine Square, the medina and Mellah, Spices Market, Terina Madrasa, Pottery, and the famous Tannery. We will spend another night in the city, where the cafes stay open late, serving up delicious Moroccan cuisine.

    Bou Inania Madrasa

    Zaouia Moulay Idriss II

    The Zaouia Moulay Idriss II is a shrine in Fez, Morocco, dedicated to and the tomb of Moulay Idriss II, who ruled Morocco from 807 to 828 and founded the city of Fez for the second time in 810.

Day 7: Fes - Merzouga (339 km)

Today, we will drive to the village of Merzouga, famous for its majestic sand dunes and a true depiction of the desert landscapes Morocco is known for. On the way to Merzauga, we pass by Tazarine which is the capital of Henna and Risani which is the last city before dunes and it is the origine of Alaouites dinasty. In the afternoon, we will reach our Merzauga campsite and we will have Camel Trekking, watch the sunset, experience the authentic desert life in the Sahara and stay in sedentary tents tonight.

Day 8: Merzouga

Today we will have camel trek to the next campsite. Have a delicious local breakfast and hop on, we will go on a 4x4 jeep safari. Enjoy the 2-hour adventure at the astounding desert atmosphere watching the magical landscapes, isolated Berber villages, oases, dunes and real nomads. In the afternoon you can relax by the pool, sand-board or climb high up the sand dunes. African Music Show included.

Day 9: Merzouga - Marrakech (562 km)

Today, we will pass by Ourzazate movie studios & have a panoramic photo stop at the Tichka mountain pass in the High Atlas region. Late in the afternoon we will reach Marrakech. Here, the sub-Saharan traders would trade their wares with European merchants, who would then bring them to Europe. Wear your haggling hats as you discover Djemaa el-Fna Square and brace for the mayhem! Marking the entrance to the huge bazaar, the area is packed with story tellers, snake charmers, acrobats, musicians and folk dancers.

Day 10: Marrakech

The tour will end after we check out of our hotel in Marrakech at 11:00am. After saying goodbye to their new friends, guests will transfer to the airport for departure flights.

  • Complementary arrival airport transfer is available on the first day of the tour (Day 1) from the airports of the city where your tour starts in Morocco. Transfers are available between 05:00am to 23:59pm. To confirm your airport transfer, please forward us following information at least 2 weeks before your departure date.
  • Please note: Airport transfer is not available with post tour accommodations. There is only one return shuttle to the airport on the final morning, please refer to your guide for details.

Additional Note

  • No single supplement available during camp stay.
  • This tour is recommended for travelers between 18-39 years old. Others are welcome, but most passengers will be within this age group.
  • Children are not allowed; Passengers must be over 18-year-old in order to join the tour.
  • Spending money: Every person has different spending habits, but to help you out with your planning, we estimated your average daily expenses. An approximate amount of �20 per day for lunch & dinner (without drinks), and �30 per day as personal spending money (souvenirs, handicraft etc. not included) is generally sufficient.

Confirmation

  • Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 2-3 business days of submitting your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status. Please do not book any airline tickets until you receive the status of your booking.

Redemption

  • You will receive a confirmation voucher in 2-3 business days after you receive the e-ticket. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination and departure details, is included in your confirmation voucher. When you reserve your attractions and services you will be asked to print the confirmation voucher to present when you arrive at your destination. It is your proof of purchase.

    The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
  • Booking changes
    All changes, amendments or additions must be confirmed prior to 60 days of the departure date to avoid cancellation or amendment fees. No new passengers may be added to a booking once completed.

  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • a) Name & Tour Date changes requested within:
    60-30 days of departure will incur an amendment fee of �25 per person;
    29-15 days of departure will incur an amendment fee of �50 per person;
    14 days of departure will be made at the sole discretion of tour operator.
    b) Tour Destination changes requested within:
    60-30 days of departure will incur an amendment fee of �35 per person;
    29 days of departure will be made at the sole discretion of tour operator.
    Changing the tour date and/or the destination is subject to availability of the new requested date and/or the destination. If the revised tour has a higher price and/or local payment, the price difference must be paid by the passenger. It is not possible to transfer the booking to travel dates outside of seasonal dates covered in tour operator brochure or by the relevant edition of the website valid at the time the original booking was made. Hotelier cancellation charges are liable to be paid by the passenger in the event of booked pre-tour and post-tour accommodation being unused whatever the circumstances are.
  • Cancellations penalty within the balance payment period (60-0 days prior to departure) are as follows: (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    60 days or more prior to departure - �60 per person.
    59-30 days prior to departure - 70% of total purchase amount.
    29-15 days prior to departure - 85% of total purchase amount.
    1-14 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers. We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
