  • Well, where to start. West coast is impressive. The itinerary promised us a lot of sightseeing. Other thing is how this itinerary worked in reality. First of all, having a different guide and bus every day is a little bit disturbing. You come down at the hotel lobby and you don't know who to look for. I was doing 5 days East coast tour where we had the same guide and bus every day so I was kind of expecting the same model here, but no. So I totally didn't like this aspect. The transfer from the LAX to the hotel was not smooth. There were too many misunderstandings. Take Tours agent told, that some kind of Jeremy suppose to pick us up from the airport and gave me his number. So we arrived and I called him. He said that I should call to different person. Really? Not happy about that. Speaking about accomodation, it was great! We stayed at two hotels - Howard Johnson in Fulton, CA and Circus Circus in Las Vegas. All rooms where spacious (we were 3 girls) and clean. Speaking about itinerary, it was just ok. I wouldn't recommend for future travelers to pick Universal studios. Yes, it was fun place to visit, but you need to spend there the whole day, not just 6 hours, because the lines are long and the amount of people is huge. Get some other option for your first/second day. I personally was VERY excited to go to Grand Canyon as it was in my wish list. When booking, we picked South Rim as it was $10, but on our way to Las Vegas, the guide told us, that you have to drive like 4 hours to the South Rim and you get to spend there only 1 hour and then go back to Vegas 4 hours again (what's the point to even offer South Rim?.) So on the trip we decided to switch to the West Rim. But I was still not happy about my Grand Canyon experience. We got to spend there about 3 hours. Our tour guide's English was some kind of not clear. He was explaining about transportation to the Canyon too much (you have to take couple buses to reach the Canyon) so we didn't catch him when he was talking that the shuttle which runs in between the West Rim has two stops: Eagle point and some other point (don't remember the name). So we ended up spending almost all the time at the Eagle point while the other point was much more impressive. So that disappointed me. If you gonna take this trip - be aware of that. Moreover, on the same day, we were going to the Hoover dam. That is another impressive thing. But... There is another but... We were travelling by bus for about an hour and a half and we got to spend at such interesting site only 20 MINUTES!!! Ridiculous... Overall tour experience? I don't know... I'm kind of keen on somewhat recommending this tour (provided by the Seagull company) for future travelers... I am glad I got to see the places but the organisation was just too fussy.
