Day 3 Los Angeles - 17 Miles - San Francisco (437 miles)

We will depart from Los Angeles and head to the picturesque Monterey Peninsula, where gentle sea breezes, meandering coast, surging waves, bizarre rocks, adorable seals and sea lions rest on the beach. Then we will stop at a world first-class Golf course and resort to view the amazing ocean view. Afterwards we enjoy the scenery of the 17 Miles, which is truly breathtaking. We may also explore the newly opened Pebble Beach Visitor Center. Arrive in Bay Area in the evening and overnight.

Day 4 Berkeley - San Francisco City Tour - Modesto (105 miles)

We visit the campus of UC Berkeley in the morning. From the nostalgic campus, Golden Gate Bridge and Golden Gate Straight can both be seen! Afterward, we'll drive to San Francisco, home to over 50 rolling hills and surrounded by water on 3 sides. Then we'll visit the Golden Gate Bridge before visiting Fisherman's Wharf. Here you can take an optional cruise on the San Francisco Bay (own expense). Next, we will visit Madame Tussaud or Exploratorium and then we'll visit the only building remaining from 1915 world's exposition, the Palace of Fine Arts. You may take a in-depth city tour at your own cost this afternoon. Stay overnight in Modesto.

Day 5 Modesto - Yosemite - Los Angeles (364 miles)

In the morning we'll depart from the hotel towards Yosemite National Park. Giant trees, mountains, and sparkling streams and lakes, glacier-carved canyons, all these unique features make up Yosemite. Take a walk in the woods and enjoy the fresh forest air. After lunch, we'll travel across Central Valley of California, where over half of the fruits, nuts, and vegetables grown in the country are produced every year. In the evening we'll return to Los Angeles. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

Off the 4 days of the real tour the LA 1 Day tour is useless...Its a waste of time as its more like a Getty Center tour only, the full day LA tour with Hollywood sign is a must for someone who visits LA, if its gonna cost more , let the tourist know and be given a choice. Not force only one with ~1-2 hr stops at four places and call it a city tour.(had I known it was a 4 stop thing I wouldnt have taken this particular tour). For the Rest of the tour , the 3 day Santa Barbara,SFO,Yosemite no was well managed for the time available(Have to visit Yosemite with more time, 2 hrs there is too less.)

I recommend this tour!

Excellent Tour package! nice hotel accomodation (Marriot and HoJo) and great Bus (Merc Benz). Would like to recommend the tour to my friends.

The tour covered many landmarks. The ride in the bus was too tiring (sometimes more than 10 hours a day). It would be less uncomfortable if there are more stops when the ride is so long.

The itinerary changed when the trip started. The first day trip to Universal studio is conducted by different guide and the bus is late for 1 hr on way back, which is sad but ok for me since we're at Universal studio. Stay in Howard Johnson which has Target in walking distance. The hotel changed to Sheraton San Jose, which we got a suite! There was a great mix of tourists from India, China, Korea, Europe. The guide's English is average. So do take note.
