This is a great tour at an even greater price. I don't think it's possible to rent a vehicle + gas and pay for 9 nights of decent hotel accommodations for less unless you have a large group and want to cram into the same car and room. The tour guides do a great job at organizing the restaurants, checking in and out the hotels and the sites to visit without crashing into the other tour groups. Not having to drive 100's of miles is also a bonus as I have more energy to explore the destinations we're going to. I believe TakeTours is just the wholesalers and not the actual tour company but don't let that discourage you from booking. Also, the tourist guides' first language is Mandarin, they speak English well so it was no issue for me. I believe the other business tour companies have serious competition now that TakeTours is here, I was quoted 3 times more for the same tour with a different company. I have been on their tours in the past and prefer TakeTours. I will always book my tours with TakeTours from now on. The only improvement I can suggest is for the actual tour company to have a minimum standard on buses. We had a bus with the a/c not as strong as the others but that was only for 1 day and not TakeTours fault. Maybe also let the tour group vote on either going shopping in China Town or similar rather than going to City Hall, which is kinda boring.
