Day 1 Los Angeles-La Jolla-San Diego-Los Angeles(243 miles)

Today, we will travel south out of Los Angeles, traveling along the coast of Southern California. After a brief stop in La Jolla to take in the view, we will reach San Diego. Once there, we will spend some time in the seaside village before boarding the USS Midway Museum, a real-life aircraft carrier. After that, we will go to Coronado Island to see the Del Coronado, a historic hotel and the largest building in the U.S. made entirely of wood, where the movie Some Like It Hot was filmed. We will spend the last portion of the day exploring the Spanish-themed Old Town before heading back to Los Angeles, where the tour will end.

My tour guide, Richard, was fabulous! After having some tech difficulty booking the tour online, I was greeted by Richard for a wonderful experience of San Diego, with his kind manners and vast knowledge of the area. He also gave me great advice about other areas in California! I went to the Cafe in Big Sur you suggested and it was great! Ask for Richard as your guide & this tour will be the best!

I booked this tour last 4th of July for me and my husband - to celebrate our wedding anniversary... it was a special treat for him because he didn't have to do the long drive... We had a great time with all the places that we had been wanting to go to for such a long, long time... our tour guide/driver, Richard was awesome. He was very nice, accommodating and knowledgeable of all the details/history of the places that we went to... Excellent tour!!
