Day 1 London-Maidstone-Canterbury-Dover-London(226 km)

In the morning, guests will be picked up from the specified departure location in London. Our first activity of the day will be a private tour of Leeds Castle. After that, we will visit the Canterbury Cathedral, where we will learn about the violent history of this seemingly idyllic place. After lunch, we will continue to Dover, where we can see the famous White Cliffs and Dover Castle. Then, we will head to Greenwich, we will get some time to explore. Following that, we will take a boat ride on the River Thames. Once we are back in London, guests will have the chance to take either the Royal Walking Tour or the Beatles Walking Tour. The tour will then end. There will not be hotel drop-off. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

  • Leeds Castle has been standing in some form or another since 1119, nearly 900 years. The castle sits on a lush island in a lake formed by the River Len. It was reconstructed by Hnery VII for Catherine of Aragon.

  • Always Visit
This historic and ornate cathedral dates back nearly one thousand years-- to 1077. It was originally built in the Romanesque style, but a large fire destroyed most of the church and repairs were done in the Gothic.

  • Due to annual fireworks, tourist will be visiting Dover Castle instead of Leeds Castle on Sunday 6 November 2016
This awe-inspiring 12th-century castle is the largest in England, and has been played a pivotal role throughout the history of the British Isles, earning the nickname "Key to England." The site is also home to a lighthouse from the first century.
