Day 1

Start your day at the Tower of London. First, we will enter the Jewel House and view the spectacular crown jewels. During your visit you will also be able to see the famous white tower. Then it's time to step aboard a relaxing river shuttle as the tour heads up the Thames. Enjoy the sights as your guide points out major landmarks as you coast by. Arrive at the Embankment and follow your guide on a short stroll to see the changing of the guards. End the morning portion of your tour at Buckingham Palace.
After a break for lunch on your own, you'll re-join the group and your expert local guide for a stroll around the city's most iconic buildings and monuments. We'll begin at Trafalgar Square before proceeding down Whitehall, the center of Her Majesty's Government. You will also view the Horse Guards. We follow these experiences with a pass by Downing Street, home to the British Prime Minister, before arriving at Parliament Square, where you will be treated to spectacular views of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. After learning about the Palace of Westminster, home to the British Parliament, it's on to Westminster Abbey, site of royal coronations and weddings, including the recent wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton in 2011.

Tower of London

Dating back nearly a millennia, this historic castle on the shores of the Thames in London has served many important functions throughout history. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a museum that is open to the public.

Thames River Cruise

The River Thames is iconic, a symbol of the city that it cuts through. Now you can take a cruise on the waters of the river and see some of the most iconic locations in London.

The changing of the guards

This world-famous ceremony takes place either at Buckingham Palace or at Horse Guards Parade, depending on the day. These guards will wear red tunics and unmistakable bear skin hats, marching to Buckingham Palace.

Buckingham Palace

One of the most famous palaces of the British monarchy, Buckingham Palace dates back to 1705. In addition to serving as a museum and art gallery, it has been the main residence of the royal family since 1837.

Trafalgar Square

This large plaza in central London is a popular tourist attraction. The square is home to several monuments, sculptures, and fountains, but the one that features most prominently is Nelson's Column, a 170-foot-tall war memorial.

10 Downing Street

Also known by the Brits as "Number 10," this building is the headquarters of the executive branch of the British government and the official residence of the Prime Minister.

Additional Note

Non-flash photography is permitted in the Tower of London.
Changing of the Guard will not operate in rain and will be replaced with an extended walking tour.
We strongly suggest that you avoid bringing large purses, bags, or backpacks on your tour since large luggage may cause delays because of security checks.
We regret that we are unable to accommodate guests with wheelchairs or any impairments requiring special assistance. We are also unable to accommodate strollers or baby carriages on our group tours.
Weather can be very changeable in London, please make sure you bring adequate rain wear if required.
This is a tour that involves a reasonable amount of walking. For this reason, we recommend comfortable shoes for all guests.

Confirmation

All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking, please do not book the airline tickets until your received the confirmation.

Redemption

You will receive a confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order is received. Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Cancellation and Refund policy
(Notification day and departure day are not counted)
All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within one business day after purchase, customers will be fully refunded if the orders cannot be confirmed.
Cancellations received within 72 hours of departure will incur a penalty of 100% per person. The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
