Guests will get picked up in La Paz and taken to the bus station. Take a night bus at 9:00 pm to the town of Uyuni in the southwest corner of Bolivia.
Note: There will be no tour leader to accompany you on the bus.

Day 2 Uyuni - Colchani - Uyuni Salt Flats (Incahuasi Island) - Pia Pia Island - Ajencha (7079 km)
We will start with visiting Uyuni's 'train graveyard' to see the first locomotives in Bolivia. Then we will go to the small village of Colchani to visit a salt factory where they process the salt mined from Uyuni. Then take photos as we cruise along the vast white expanse of salt, and visit a hotel made completely of salt. After lunch, visit Incahuasi (Fish Island) where we will take a hike to the top of the island to see giant cactus and rock formations made of petrified coral. At the Pia Pia Island, we will enjoy the stunning sunset , over the salt flat before spending the night at the village of Ajencha in a salt hotel.
Uyuni is a city in the southwest of Bolivia. It primarily serves as a gateway for tourists visiting the world's largest salt flats - the Salar de Uyuni. he city also acts as a gateway for commerce and traffic crossing into and out of Bolivia from and to Chile.
Isla Incahuasi is a hilly and rocky outcrop of land and former island in Bolivia situated in the middle of Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat, at an elevation of 3,656 meters.
There is a salt factory where they process the salt mined from Uyuni, you can also enjoy some free time to explore the local museum or shop for souvenirs

Day 3 Chiguana Desert - Lagoons - Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve - Red Lagoon Sol de Manana Geyser (210 km)
Start off at 7:00 am for breakfast at the hotel and then head toward the Chiguana Desert, it is surrounded by volcanoes, such as the Ollague Volcano (5840m), one that is still active, and that can be seen from the lookout. Our next stop is at the beautiful Andean lagoons, inhabited by 3 species of Andean flamingos. Visit the Desert of Siloli at 4550m (the highest and driest in the world) and take a photo next to the 'Rock tree', a lava rock formation. Before arriving to our final destination today, we will stop at the overlook point by the Red Lagoon to see more pink flamingos and admire this intense red-colored lake, before spending the night at a shared family lodging.
The Chiguana desert is on the south side of Uyuni salt flat, surrounded by active volcanoes such as Ollague (5,840m).
Ollague Volcano is a massive andesite stratovolcano. It started developing more than one million years ag, and is considered potential active by now.
You can see the most bizarre rock formations in the desert of exotic plants. The desert is not far from the Chilean border. It is rugged and worth a visit to the rock formations and volcanoes.
Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve is the country's the most visited area,It is considered the most important protected area in terms of tourist influx in the Potosí Department.
A geothermal area characterized by intense volcanic activity and the sulphur springs field is full of mud lakes and steam pools with boiling mud.
The area extends over 10 km2, between 4800m and 5000m in altitude.

Day 4 Sol de Manana Geyser - Dali Desert - Uyuni (278 km)
We will walk alongside fumaroles and steaming craters, visit Sol de Manana Geyser. Continue to the open air hot springs. Then head toward the Dali Pampas, where Salvador Dali found his inspiration from boulders sprinkled in the middle of the desert, and then to the Green Lagoon (toxic copper water at the foot of the big Licancabur volcano at 6000m, a few kilometers from the Bolivia-Chile border). After that, we will go back to Uyuni to eat a picnic lunch along the roadside. We will go by the Valley of the Rocks, the Alota settlement, and the San Cristobal Village, and get back to Uyuni by 6:30 pm. For those that wish to finish at San Pedro de Atacama in Chile instead of coming back to Uyuni: Guides will assist with your border crossing at 10:30 am, and you should arrive in San Pedro at 12:00 pm on the third day of the tour. The drop off is at San Pedro de Atacama's main square.

Cancellations and Cancellation Fees: Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Booking changes: A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
Itinerary Variations: We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation: We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
