Guests will be picked up from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv hotels in the early morning. We will begin our tour by driving north along the coastal road to stop for a view of Tel Meggido. Then we will journey through the Jordan Valley, stopping at Yardenit, the site of Jesus? baptism. Afterward, we will ascend to the Golan Heights, stopping to take in the view at Hamat Gader, at the triangular border of Israel, Syria, and Jordan. We will continue to the Talmudic capital of Golan, Katzrin, where we will visit the ruins of the ancient village and synagogue. We will climb to the summit of Mt. Bental to overlook Kuneitra Valley. On our return trip to Jerusalem, we will stop at a former Syrian fortification. Guests will be returned to their hotels to complete this tour.
Golan Heights, or simply the Golan or the Syrian Golan, is a region in the Levant.
This dormant volcano is located in the Golan Heights region tat separates Israel and Syria. The top of the mountain offers exquisite views of the surrounding Heights, the other mountains in the area, and into Syria.
