Day 1 Iguassu Falls

In the morning, guests will be picked up from their hotels on the Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations. Responsible for 95% of the electricity consumed in Paraguay and 24% of Brazil's, the Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam was a massive binational project undertaken in the 1970s and 80s. This tour allows guests to choose from two options to see the dam: the first is the panoramic tour, where we will watch a documentary on the power plant, then see the dam and spillway from the observation deck, without entering the facility; the second is the technical tour, which includes the documentary, the observation deck, but also allows us to enter the facilities of the dam to see the inner-workings of this feat of engineering. After the tour, guests will be returned to their hotels.

The tour start around 8:00am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday; or 2:00pm on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
