This tour illuminates the modern parts of Ho Chi Minh City with rich details of Vietnamese history. After guests have been picked up from their hotels, we will visit Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, Reunification Palace, and the War Remnants Museum. Then, we will go to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a system of underground settlements. We will watch a short introductory video before exploring. Afterwards, we will sample some foods that local guerilla soldiers would have eaten in the tunnels. Then, we will return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Completed in 1880, this cathedral is a remnant of French colonialism in Vietnam. All of the original materials were imported from France. There is a statue of the Virgin Mary out front.
This historic post office in downtown Ho Chi Minh City was completed by French colonists in 1891 with Gothic and Renaissance architectural influences. Alfred Foulhoux was the head designer.
During the Vietnam War, this building was the workplace of the South Vietnamese president. When a North Vietnamese tank crashed through its wall, the moment signified the Fall of Saigon and the end of the war.
This war museum is filled with relics from both the Vietnam War and the First Indochina War between France and Vietnam. With a rich collection of military equipment, it is one of the most popular attractions in Vietnam.
Located a short distance outside Ho Chi Minh City, this large network of underground tunnels played an important role in the famous Tet Offensive executed by the North Vietnamese army during the Vietnam War.
