Day 1: Hilo

Today we will gather in Hilo. Guests can meet the tour guide at the Hilo airport for transfer to the hotel. Arrive before 3 p.m. guests can join Big Island Mauna. Kea Summit Sunset & Stargazing tour.

Day 2: Hilo

In the morning we will head to the Richardson Black Sand Beach, finding huge Hawaiian green turtles lying on the beach. Have a stop at Liliuokalani Garden and have a chance to tasete varieties Hawaiian nuts in Big Island Candies,, visit Wailoa State Park. Nextly we will drive for the Rainbow Falls. Afterwards we will go to visit the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. We will firstly stop at the visitor center to learn about Kilauea Volcano from exhibits. Then we will tour around Kilauea Volcano Rim to find the Halemaumau crater with volcanic gas cloud. We will continue to visit the Thurston Lavatube. When tour finished, we will return to Hilo.

    This impressive waterfall near downtown Hilo, Hawaii is eighty feet tall and almost a hundred feet in diameter. Its ease of access and lack of admission fee make it a popular sight to see for visitors to Hilo.

    Richardson Beach Park

    Richardson Beach Park is a park located just east of Hilo on Hawaii Island. It is significant for being the only Hilo beach with special volcanic black sand. It was named for Elsa and George Richardson, who lived there.

Day 3: Hilo - Akaka Falls State Park - Lava Trees State Park - Kalapana Black Sand Beach - Honolulu (210 miles)

We will head for Akaka Falls State Park, view the 150-meter long falls. Then we will visit an Orchard Farmhouse to enjoy pick-to-eat fresh from tree tropical fruits. Afterwards we will continue to visit the Lava Trees State Park. Next, We will continue on to the Kalapana lava flow beach. At dark, we will take the flight from Hilo airport to Honolulu

    Akaka Falls State Park

    Akaka Falls State Park
    'Akaka Falls State Park is one of the many parks on the Island of Hawaii, just outside the city of Hilo. The park is named for the ʻAkaka Falls, a 422-foot-tall waterfall on Kolekole Stream in an eroded gorge.

    Lava Trees State Park

    This peculiar park in the Nanawale Forest Reserve gets its name from rock formations formed by lava that surrounded and killed trees when it oozed through the area in 1790. A circular 0.7-mile footpath winds through the park.

    Kalapana Black Sand Beach

    Kalapana Black Sand Beach is a volcanic beach that is also an actively erupting area. The Kalapana Lava Viewing Area allows visitors to see the volcano's activity from a safe distance and watch smoke billow up from the water.

Day 4: Pearl Harbor - Honolulu (7 miles)

Today we will visit Pearl Harbor, where we will see the USS Arizona Memorial. Then, we will return to Honolulu to visit 'Iolani Palace, Kawalahao Church, Honolulu Hale, and Punchbowl National Cemetery.

Day 5: Polynesian Cultural Center or Oahu North Shore Adventure Tour (25 miles)

Choose from Oahu North Shore Adventure Tour or visit the Polynesian Cultural Center for a buffet meal.

    Oahu North Shore Adventure Tour

    Depart from hotel, head to the north shore of Oahu to visit Marshal Zhang Xueliang and Miss Zhao Si tomb, then visit Chinaman's Hat Island, Kualoa Ranch. Passing by Brigham Yong University Hawaii to visit Mormen Temple and watch 8-minute historical documentary movie. At lunch, don't miss the famous Kahuku Town Shrimp Meal. Then worldwide well-known Sunset beach is next destination, Turtle bay is the perfect place to see sea turtles.     Dole Plantation opened in 1950, billing itself as "Hawaii's Pineapple Experience." In addition to touring the fields, visitors can attempt the "world's largest maze," a 3-acre adventure with more than two miles of paths and a mystery to solve.

    Polynesian Cultural Center

    The Polynesian Cultural Center is actually a theme park and living museum located on the northern shores of the Island of Oahu in Hawaii. Eight simulated villages showcase different Polynesian cultures in different ways for curious visitors.

Day 6: Honolulu

Guests may spend the morning at their leisure before being transferred to the airport.
  • Free Airport Pickup and Dropoff: available from 7:00am - 10:00pm. $50/person will be charged if you arrive beyond this period.

  • Inter-Island Air Tickets: All travelling between the Hawaiian Islands is at your own expense. Guests may reserve an inter-island ticket at the time of booking for $108/ticket each way. Please note ticket price is subject to change, we will notify you of any price change before confirm booking if you book them with us
  • Air fares between your city and the departure city
  • A mandatory service fees to the driver and tour guide (min. $10/passenger/day).
  • Personal room fees such as laundry or valet services, telephone calls, or alcoholic beverages/mini bar items, unless they are otherwise specified.
  • All other private expenses

Additional Note

  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
  • Hotel rooms: Each hotel room can accommodate no more than 4 guests (adults or children).

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book airline tickets until you have received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • You will receive an confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order was received. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your Confirmation Email (e-ticket). When you reserve your attractions and services you will be asked to print e-tickets to present when you arrive at your destination. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person
    (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    15-30 days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
    8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    Any flight ticket on this trip is non-refundable.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
