Few cities in the world contain so many stunning works of art in such a small space as Florence. Today we will take this Florence walking tour covering all the highlights of this incredible city. The English-speaking guide to tell us the stories behind the sights.
For most visitors to Florence, visiting Michelangelo's David is top of the to-do list. We will have the Skip the Line Access and a pre-reserved entry time at the Accademia Gallery so we won't waste precious time better spent inside. With our guide, we'll visit not just "David" but Michelangelo's unfinished 'Slaves' too.
Of course there's more to visit Florence than "David". The Florence walking tour covers the best of the rest by foot with audio headsets so we can always hear our guide (We'll have these in the Accademia Gallery too). We'll visit the Duomo Square, where the magnificent Florence Cathedral is. We will outside visit the Cathedral and get a full explanation of its inside and outside features.
We'll see the gold doors of the Baptistery here before setting off on our tour around the city. With the guide leading the way we'll visit all the most important sights, including the iconic Ponte Vecchio bridge, the sculptures at Piazza Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio and Uffizi Courtyard and Orsanmichele Church. We'll see some less-visited gems of the city, such as the leather market and quieter streets and piazzas of the city.
*Please note that on Sundays and during religious festivities visits inside the Duomo may be restricted, also in the night the Duomo is always closed, in which case a detailed tour will be given from outside.
Note: from 1/1/2020 on, the tour itinerary will make some adjustment as below:
The tour will be shorter as 2.5 hours and focus on the main highlights of the city. We will not visit the Ponte Vecchio bridge and Orsanmichele Church. We will not visit the leather market and piazzas of the city. The ending point will be at Uffizi. The actual itinerary will be subject to your tour guide's arrangement.
