Day 1 Flagstaff-Grand Canyon-Flagstaff(157 miles)

Guests will be picked up from the specified departure locations in Flagstaff. Our day will begin with a scenic drive among the red rocks of Sedona, bringing us through Oak Creek Canyon and past the San Francisco Volcanic Field on our way to the south entrance of the Grand Canyon. Once there, we will board the historic Grand Canyon Railway. As the train travels back in time during the 65 mile journey, we will be entertained by cowboys and enjoy some music. The train offers wonderful views of the San Francisco Peaks and roll through valleys filled with wild flowers, dense pine forests, high desert plains, and small canyons. It will let us off just steps from the Grand Canyon's South Rim, where we will spend some time before stopping at Desert View to climb to the top of the Watchtower Observatory for amazing panoramic views that will take our breath away before making the return journey. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.
