Day 1 Fairbanks

After pickup from Fairbanks airport, guests will be transferred to hotel. Hotel usually checkin after 15:00. When night falls, we will take bus to the Aurora Viewing Lodge on the outskirts of the city at 22:00 and enjoy the northern lights. It is expected to arrive at the hotel between 02:00-03:00 in the morning.

Day 2 Fairbanks - Denali National Park - Fairbanks (184 miles)

We will depart from hotel to Denali National Park, enjoy spectacular views of the Alaska Range, explore the Denali Winter Visitor Center and enjoy a winter walk (complimentary snowshoes are available) through the frosted forest. Pack your own lunch to enjoy in the park while taking a break from snowshoeing.

If the Alaska Railroad's Aurora Winter Train has departures during your date of selection, you will be able to upgrade to ride the train back to Fairbanks.

Upon our return to Fairbanks, we will have time to enjoy dinner on own before another nighttime quest for the magical Lights at our Aurora Viewing Lodge. We will return to hotel between 2:00AM - 3:00AM.

Day 3 Fairbanks

We will drive through the boreal forest to Chena Hot Springs Resort, where you can soak in the indoor or outdoor hot pools, visit the ice museum and hotel, enjoy "appletini" in a glass carved from crystalline ice (at your own expense). You may enjoy the fine cuisine in the resort dining room (at your own expense), before returning to Fairbanks for your third night of scanning the skies for the mystical Northern Lights at the Aurora Viewing Lodge.

Day 4 Fairbanks

You may choose to purchase an optional activity, including dogsledding, ice fishing or snowmachining. These can be arranged through your guide. Later in the day, we will explore fascinating local culture with a visit to Fairbanks Morris Thompson Cultural Center. You can also visit the Cultural Center gift shop to don traditional Athabascan clothing for photographs. Afterwards we will return back to hotel.

Day 5 Fairbanks - Coldfoot (180 miles)

Today we will head to the Arctic Circle and beyond! Depart from Fairbanks at 10:00am, we will take a comfortable coach for the journey across the Yukon River to the Arctic Circle and Coldfoot, Alaska. We will enjoy the low winter sun on the horizon as it shines on the windswept arctic tundra. Arrive in Coldfoot for overnight.

Day 6 Fairbanks - Coldfoot (180 miles)

Today we can select from a variety of optional tours at your own expenses: an excursion along the Dalton Highway, into the Brooks Mountain Range, as far north as Atigun Pass (weather permitting); a one-hour dog sledding experience with a local musher; and additional aurora viewing in Wiseman.

Day 7 Coldfoot - Faribanks (180 miles)

Today we will return to Fairbanks via flight, arriving approximately 2:00pm-4:00pm. If flight canceled due to weather, we will return back to Fairbanks via ground transportation at around 2:00am next morning.
