Day 1: Copenhagen

Today we will gather in Copenhagen, Denmark. After checking into the hotel, guests are free to explore the city for the remainder of the day.

Day 2: Copenhagen

After a morning orientation drive, guests are free to spend the day in this Danish city as they wish. The tour guide can help arrange extra activities, such as a tour of local castles.

Day 3: Copenhagen - Odense - Frederikshavn (504 km)

After breakfast, we will drive northwards, enjoying the scenery across the Great Belt Bridge, which will connect you to the fairytale island of Funen. Then we will stop in Odense, Hans Christian Andersen's hometown, and via the Little Belt waterway, head to Frederikshavn on the rural Jutland Peninsula.

Day 4: Frederikshavn - Gothenburg - Oslo (389 km)

In the morning, we will take a ferry from Frederikshavn to Gothenburg, Sweden, where we will board a bus that will take us to the Norwegian capital of Oslo.

Day 5: Oslo - Telemark (229 km)

Our comprehensive morning tour will take us to the most famous places in Oslo, NO. We will visit Broadcasting House, Oslo City Hall, the National Theatre, Parliament, Akershus Castle and more! In the afternoon, we will head to Norway's Telemark region to spend the night.

    Oslo is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It is an important centre for maritime industries and maritime trade in Europe. The city is home to many companies within the maritime sector, some of which are among the world's largest shipping companies.

    Oslo City Hall

    This large and distinctive building is home to the city council of Oslo as well as museums and art galleries. It is one of the most famous buildings in Norway in part because the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony is held here.

    National Theatre

    The National Theatre in Oslo is a Norwegian Cultural Heritage Site. It officially opened in 1899, but didn't come into its own until the second decade of the 1900s. It is located near Oslo's governmental buildings in the capital center.

    Akershus Castle

    This castle in Oslo was built around 1290 to protect the city from foreign invaders. It successfully survived all sieges that it was subjected to, mostly by Swedish invading forces.

Day 6: Telemark - Vemork - Bergen (115 km)

Today we will pay a visit to Vemork. We will have a chance to visit the Vemork Musuem, then proceed through the Telemark region with its lakes, winding valleys, and rugged gorges backed by towering mountains. Afterwards we would take a ferry across the Hardangerfjord from Utne to Kvanndal. Continue to Bergen, with a picture stop at Steindalsfossen Waterfall.

Day 7: Bergen

Today guests may explore the Norwegian city of Bergen, NO at their leisure. There is an optional sightseeing tour that visits sights such as St. Mary's Church.

    It is Norway's second largest city, as well as the largest and most beautiful port on the west coast of Norway, has been named as the "European capital of culture" by the United Nations. It is a "rain city" with a mild and rainy climate.

    St. Mary's Church

    Built in the middle of the 12th century AD, this church is believed to be the oldest remaining building in the Norwegian town of Bergen. It is the only structure built during the founding of the city that has survived.

Day 8: Bergen - Sognefjord - Fagernes (447 km)

Today we will drive towards the Sognefjord, where we will embark for a breathtaking cruise on one of Norway's mightiest fjords. After that we will continue to the Fagernes area.

    Best known as the largest fjord in Norway, and longest in the world, Sognefjord is a breathtaking destination and UNESCO world heritage site. Visitors can experience dramatic mountain scenery and traverse still waters on boats connecting settlements along the fjord.

Day 9: Fagernes - Lillehammer - Karlstad (579 km)

From Fagernes we will travel to Lillehammer, NO, the site of the 1994 Winter Olympics. We will then cross into Sweden, where we will spend the night in city of Karlstad, SE.

    Lillehammer is a town and municipality in Oppland county, Norway. The city centre is a late 19th-century concentration of wooden houses, which enjoys a picturesque location overlooking the northern part of lake Mjosa and the river Lagen, surrounded by mountains.

Day 10: Karlstad - Mariefred - Stockholm (68 km)

In the morning, we will head east to the town of Mariefred, SE, where we will see the amazing Gripsholm Castle. We will continue east from there, making our way to the Swedish capital of Stockholm for the night.

    Mariefred is a locality situated in Strangnas Municipality, Sodermanland County, Sweden with 3,726 inhabitants in 2010. The name is derived from that of the former Carthusian monastery here, Mariefred Charterhouse, and means "Peace of Mary".

    Gripsholm Castle

    This magnificent Renaissance-style castle not far from Stockholm, Sweden dates back to the early 16th century. It sits on the shores of Lake Malaren and was originally built for King Gustav I on the site of an old fortress.

Day 11: Stockholm

Today we will spend an entire day in what is considered to be the most beautiful city in all of Scandinavia, Stockholm, SE. Our tour of the Swedish capital covers all of the famous locations, such as the Stockholm City Hall.

    One of Stockholm's biggest tourist draws, the city hall is not just a governmental building, but also the home of the Nobel Prize banquet and a National Romantic architectural landmark. It sits demurely on the banks of the bay Riddarfjarden.

Confirmation

  • Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 72 hours of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status. Please do not book any airline tickets until you receive the status of your booking.

Redemption

  • You will receive an confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order was received. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your Confirmation Email (e-ticket). When you reserve your attractions and services you will be asked to print e-tickets to present when you arrive at your destination. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
    The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
  • Prices: All vacation prices are based on rates (reflecting foreign exchange rates) known at the time of publication and expected to be in effect at the time of departure, and do not include airfare except where noted. Vacation prices are per person, based on double occupancy. Single room supplements and triple and quad room reductions are listed where applicable. Not all accommodation types are available on all vacations.
  • Standard Cancellation Fees escorted and independent vacations: (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    45 days prior to the commencement of services: $250 per person will be charged.
    45-22 days prior to commencement of services: 20% of total price* plus Travel Protection payments
    21-8 days prior to commencement of services: 30% of total price* plus Travel Protection payments
    7-1 days prior to commencement of services: 50% of total price* plus Travel Protection payments
    On departure day and later: 100% of total price* plus Travel Protection payments
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
  • Reservation Changes: A fee of $50 per transaction will be charged for any alteration or revision made to a reservation. A change of traveler name, vacation date, or itinerary within final payment will be treated as a full cancellation and new reservation; vacation cancellation fees (as above) apply.
  • Contact Information: Passengers are responsible to ensure that operator Travel has the correctly spelled name, address, phone number, email and fax data for all passengers. Names printed on the invoice must exactly match the first and last name written in their passport (middle names or initials are not needed). Operator will not be responsible for passengers who do not receive documents due to inaccurate information.
  • Passports and Visas: Passengers are responsible for obtaining and paying for all visas and entry documents, for meeting all health and other requirements, and for any documents required by the laws, regulations, orders, and/or requirements of the countries you will visit. Most countries require that the passport be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the conclusion of your trip. It is recommended you have a minimum of three blank pages in your passport when traveling, as many countries require blank pages. Multiple-entry visas are required for some vacations. It is your responsibility to verify all visa and passport requirements.
  • Baggage Allowance: Due to limited motorcoach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30"x21"x11" and weight not exceeding 50lbs (22kg). We regret that we are unable to accept a second suitcase or any luggage exceeding these limits on any vacation listed in this brochure.
  • Children: Travelers who are less than 18 years old on the departure date must be accompanied by an adult throughout the duration of the vacation. We do not accept children less than 8 years old.
  • Travel Protection (Insurance): Comprehensive trip insurance is highly recommended by operator.
  • Travelers with Disabilities: Tour participants requiring any form of assistance are required to notify operator in writing at the time of reservation, and must be accompanied by an individual responsible for providing those services. Tour managers, guides, drivers or other tour, hotel, ship personnel are not able to provide such assistance. Wheelchairs + Walkers: Due to physical constraints and space limitations, wheelchairs and walkers may not be taken aboard motor coaches and/or river cruise ships. Operator reserves the right to remove any person from a tour or cruise who has not provided the required notification, has not received written confirmation from operator, or does not comply with these regulations. All related expenses, including those to return home, will be borne by the passenger.
  • Hotel Accommodations: The accommodations listed in the brochure or on the Web site are intended to be used on all departures; however, if a change becomes necessary for any reason, including additional departures on the same date, the accommodations substituted will be equivalent to those shown. Every effort is made to reserve only twin-bedded rooms. Occasionally, some hotels will only provide double-bedded rooms. These rooms will be allocated to couples. Please note that accommodation check-in times vary worldwide.
  • Service Inquiries After the Vacation: Any complaint or claim involving the vacation services offered in this brochure or on the Web sites must be notified to the Company within 30 days of the tour completion, except where such time limitations are prohibited by law.
    As it is difficult and sometimes impossible to properly investigate a complaint if we are not advised of such complaint quickly, any compensation you may have been able to claim could be reduced or even forfeited if you do not follow the complaints procedure set out in this clause.
  • RESPONSIBILITY: Operator and its representatives abroad act only as independent contractors acting on behalf of neither the customer nor the suppliers and principals. All exchange orders, coupons, and tickets, whether paper or electronic, are issued subject to the terms and conditions under which such means of transportation, accommodations, and other services are offered or provided. The issuance and acceptance of such documents shall be deemed to be consent to the further conditions. Operator does not own nor operate the hotels, motor coaches, airlines, cruise lines, or any other service providers which compose their tours, and will not be held responsible for changes and/or cancellations for any reason by airlines, hotels or cruise ships.
  • The Travel Agent and/or Tour Operator, shall not be in any way liable for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity in any vehicle, or through the act of default of any company, or person engaged in conveying passengers, or of any hotel proprietor, personnel, servant or any other person otherwise in connection therewith. Operator shall not be held responsible for potential risks and hazards associated with travel to destinations included in this brochure, where injury, delay, or unanticipated events may occur. Operator shall not assume responsibility for standards of quality, hygiene, political stability, cuisine, sanitation facilities, diseases or viruses contracted while traveling for any cause, cleanliness, telecommunications facilities, methods of conducting business, emergency medical evacuation, treatment, or medical services found in these destinations. Travel to these areas may entail risks including but not limited to the hazards of traveling in politically unstable areas, civil disturbances, war, and arbitrary changes mandated by government authorities or private concerns. It is the responsibility of the passenger(s) to check with the U.S. State Department, Consular Information, click here for any current advisories and updates to the destinations on their itinerary. Operator shall be held harmless from any and all liability in connection with the foregoing. Operator cannot accept responsibility for loss or expense due to delay or changes in transportation schedule or other causes. Operator shall not be held responsible for potential loss of services due to inclement weather conditions.
