Day 1 Chicago

Today, guests will gather in Chicago. Those flying into O'Hare Airport should meet their tour guide at the baggage claim area. There will be free transfer to the hotel between 9:00am and 9:00pm. Anyone arriving before 3:00pm will be able to go on a special excursion to the Fashion Outlets of Chicago for shopping and dining options. There will not be complimentary pickup for guests flying into Midway Airport.

Day 2 Chicago - Route 66 - Pontiac - Chicago(172 miles)

We will drive out of Chicago along historic Route 66, which begins at the crossing of Adams Street and Michigan Avenue. We will stop for breakfast at Lou Mitchell's, a famous restaurant along this route. When we reach Joliet, we will visit the Old Joliet Prison Park. In Pontiac, we will learn more about this famous roadway at the Route 66 Association Hall of Fame, as well as visiting the Pontiac Oakland Automobile Museum, and the Museum of the Gilding Arts. After wards, we will visit a local farm and get the chance to shoot air soft guns before we return to Chicago in the evening.

Today, we will take a walk in Millennium Park, where we will see a combination of stunning architecture, sculpture, and landscape design in the heart of downtown. There, we will see the famous Cloud Gate before taking a break at the Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain. After that, we will stroll around the Navy Pier. Then, we will get an exclusive tour of the Chicago Theater, an exquisite French Baroque style building. Walking along Michigan Avenue, we will be strolling down the brilliant Magnificent Mile, where we will see the Art Institute of Chicago, Grant Park, and the historical Chicago Water Tower. For the best view of the city, we will go to the top of 360 CHICAGO. Afterward, we will take a Architectural cruise to further admire the city's architecture (the cruise will be closed in winter).

In the morning, we will drive to Milwaukee, the largest city in Wisconsin, where we will visit the Harley-Davidson Museum and the Miller Brewery, where we can relax and enjoy a cold beer in either the Miller Inn or the seasonal, outdoor beer garden. After lunch, we will continue to Lake Geneva for a cruise ( 11/1-5/1 off season closed). Around 8:00pm, we will arrive back in Chicago.

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.

Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .

Tour Departure: This tour has 100% guaranteed departure; if the tour is cancelled there will be refund of 120%. Restrictions apply; due to weather conditions, State Emergencies, Airport Closures or anything beyond the control of the tour operator the 120% refund will NOT apply.
