Pricing Policy

  • Buy 2 Get 3rd Free: (1) Cancellation of free-fare passenger must be made at least 7 days before departure. (2) No-show or late cancellation incurs a $170 penalty fee for the reserved bus seat.
  • Child rates: Child rates apply to those who are 0-12 years old. Child above 2 years must take the seat. Customers are welcome to use child safety seats on that have lap and/or shoulder belts/harnesses for the infant under 2 years. Please note that each hotel room can only accommodate up to 4 guests of any age.

Day 1: Chicago - Galena - Amish Village(347 miles)

In the morning, we will depart from Chicago and drive to Galena, an architectural haven where up to 85% of the city is listed as a historical district. Turning down any street gives the feeling of being in a European town. Located here is the Home of Ulysses S. Grant, the 18th President of the United States. We will visit the home if time permits. Then, we will leave for Harmony, Minnesota to visit an Amish Village, a group that lives without the conveniences of modern technology. In the evening, we will check into our hotel in Rochester, MN.
  • Galena, IL

    This historical city in Illinois has six main streets that all display a different architectural style, making it a popular resort destination for people from the Chicago area. 85% of the city is considered a U.S. historical district.

    Galena In-depth Tour

    Visitors to Galena, Illinois enjoy a guided tour of historical landmarks and architecture, as well as a walk through of the home of Galena native: President Ulysses S. Grant.

    Ulysses S. Grant Home

    Ulysses S. Grant was the 18th President of the United States and the leader of the Union Army during the Civil War. Visitors to Galena, Illinois can visit the home built for him after the war.

Today, we will depart from our hotel and drive to Minneapolis, where we will visit the Mill City Museum, located on the historic Mississippi River waterfront. Afterwards, we will go to the Mall of America, the largest shopping center in the United States, complete with an amusement park! Later in the evening, we will check into a hotel in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

    The larger of the twin cities, Minneapolis developed in the Industrial Age of the 19th century because of the lumber and flour milling industries. It is the home of the late Prince, one of the greatest musicians of all time.

    Mall of America

    Opened in 1992, this is the largest shopping mall in the United States, receiving over 40 million annual visitors. In addition to its countless stores and restaurants, the mall also features an amusement park.

    Mill City Museum

    Opened in 2003 on the historic waterfront of the Mississippi River, this museum details the history of Minneapolis' milling industry, and the founding and growth of the city.

Day 3: Ginseng Farm - Hincheley's Dairy Farm(177 miles)

In the morning, we will visit a local ginseng farm in Wisconsin, where we will be able to learn about the growth process, weather, and farming conditions most suitable for ginseng production. Then, we will visit Hincheley's Dairy Farm, one of the largest producers of milk and cheese in the state.

    • If you would like to join the optional activities, please pay the fee in cash to the tour guide. You cannot buy / use the tickets on your own or use City Passes. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for the group.

  • A mandatory service fees: Minimum $12 / day / person should be paid in cash to tour guide and the bus driver as a service fee. Any child / Infant reserving a seat will have to pay the service fees as well. Ex: 2 people taking a 2-day tour would pay: $12 x 2 (seats) x 2 (days) = $48.

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of the reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    15-30 days or more prior to departure - 10% of the total purchase amount.
    11-14 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
    8-10 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure or no show- 100% of the total purchase amount.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit the entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 10% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.

  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.

  • Luggage: Each customer may bring on board one checked luggage plus one carry-on bag.
  • Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.
  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
  • This tour does not accept any City Pass or your own tickets for the attraction. Passengers who take this tour need to purchase admission tickets from tour escort upon arrival.
