Day 1 Classic Chichen Itza(394 km)

Guests will be picked up in Cancun in the morning. Before reaching Chichen Itza, the bus will stop at the Ik Kil, a nearby underwater grotto known as a cenote, to admire the beauty of this unique geological formation and swim in its pure, crystal-clear waters. Guests arrive at Chichen Itza around noon, heading directly to a lunch buffet. During the meal, guests will be treated to a festive show performed by locals that showcases traditional dances and folk music. Afterward, guests will make their way to the archaeological site. Once inside, two groups fill be formed to accommodate English and Spanish speaking guests.Guests will embark on a 1.5-hour tour led by a certified guide who will share secrets of the Mayans and explain the historical significance of the most important buildings, before allowing guests to explore on their own. Buses will depart Chichen Itza around 4:30pm, and guests will be dropped off in Cancun around 7:30pm.

Chichen Itza is the largest of the archaeological cities of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. It is one of Mexico's most visited tourist destinations. It was granted World Heritage Site status in 1988 by UNESCO World Heritage Site and was recently selected as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
