Guests should meet at Euston Station in
London at 8:00am by the ticket office who will check you in and escort you to your reserved seats. Train departs at 8:30am arriving at
Oxenholme in the
Lake District at 11:08am, where your guide will meet you on the platform. We will admire the spectacular views of
Lake Windermere, as you make your way through the narrow country lanes that criss cross this scenic landscape. We will stop for a photo opportunity on the shores of
Esthwaite Water. Next we will visit
Hill Top and see the farm and gardens. We will then continue to the medieval village of
Hawkshead to see its quaint alleyways. On our way to
Coniston Water where we will enjoy a lake cruise, we will pass
Tarn Hows, a picturesque beauty spot. We will cross the
Yew Tree Valley and keep our eyes open for the local roe deer. On our return to
Windermere we will have a photo stop at
Yew Tree Farm. Then we will savour some delicious cream tea in
Lindeth Howe in Bowness. It was the home of the Potter family and where Beatrix Potter stayed.
The guide will then escort us back to the train station for return journey back to London leaving Oxenholme at 6:30pm, arriving at 9:24pm (Departure times on Saturdays may vary please refer to your welcome pack on the day).
